Jack Grealisk was warned against moving to Newcastle by Alan Shearer despite the fact that the midfielder has 'no future' in Manchester City and 'has lost his way'.
City signed the 29-year-old for £ 100 million in 2021 and he is supposed to earn £ 300,000 a week, but he has broken down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola.
He was completely omitted from the team for the last Premier League match of City against Fulham and has only started one league match since Christmas.
The midfielder was told by Guardiola that he could play football on 'Another Place' next season and it seems increasingly likely that his four -year -old Stint in Manchester is coming to an end.
While Grealisk is linked to Newcastle, which will be in the Champions League next season, Shearer has doubted about a movement.
“I think Jack's best position comes from the left. That is where we saw the best of him in Aston Villa and he was the best for Man City.
“That is the position where Newcastle is really strong. They have Barnes and Gordon for that side, so I would be surprised if Newcastle was before him, “the former Newcastle striker and expert told Betfair.
Grealisk has won three Premier League titles, the Champions League and FA Cup in the Etihad, but this season only scored three goals in all competitions and has “lost his way” in the club, said Shearer.
“There is no doubt that Jack is a talented boy and a very nice guy, he just lost his way in Man City for whatever reason and when that happens, you just have to go out and play football again,” Shearer said.
“It doesn't seem like there is a future for him in Man City. I know that the questions have had to deal with the end of the season and I saw his answers.
'He has been as diplomatic as he could be and does not forget, he tries to protect the club because they have an asset that they might have to sell and if Pep says something negative, then that brings the price of the asset.
“Looking from the outside, it seems that his future in Man City is ready and he must continue.”
Grealisk has missed the past three English squadrons and he seems to go on to continue from the city to rejuvenate his career before the World Cup of next year,
But Shearer believes that it can be a challenge for the 39-CAP International to find another club because of his enormous salary and an expensive transfer costs and that he may have to move abroad.
He said: 'From the city's point of view, you should not forget that they have paid £ 100 million for him, the length of his contract and the salary he is, there will be many things that have to be worked out before he goes somewhere else because nobody pays £ 100 million for him and I would pay the salary that he gets.
“There will be many things that should fall into place to leave and I think Man City would help in terms of a payment.” “If playing abroad is the only option, he has to look at it, but I am sure he has options elsewhere.”
In the midst of unrest about his future, Grealisk was the last to leave partying when Kevin De Bruyne threw a stylish evening out for his teammates from Manchester City as he said goodbye to his adopted house.
The Belgian had booked a restaurant in Manchester on Wednesday evening to mark his departure with his old colleagues.
Grealisk was the last member of the first team team to leave at 1.35 hours, dressed in torn jeans, because he was said to be forced to hang his way along a drunk staff member on his way to the outside.
