‘Great way to start an interview,’ fumes Postecoglou at BBC reporter’s question

ANGE Postecoglou fumed after an interview with BBC Sport.

The Australian tactician had just seen his side lose 3-2 to Everton at Goodison Park.

And after the game, he looked at the cameras to answer questions about his team's performance.

However, one BBC reporter clearly angered Postecoglou, 59, with his opening gambit.

The reporter began, “Ange, familiar story.

“What is your assessment of that performance please?”

A disgruntled Postecoglou asked: “Familiar story?” to which the journalist replied: “Well, in terms of defeat.”

Apparently disappointed with the way the interviewer began his, Postecoglou then snapped, “Yeah, okay. Great way to start an interview,” before addressing his team's inefficiencies.

Spurs were defeated at half-time after a disappointing 45 minutes against rivals Everton.

At the break they were three goals behind – thanks to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Iliman Ndiaye and an own goal from Archie Gray.

Late goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison brought some respectability, but in reality they were well beaten.

Postecoglou's team is now winless in six Premier League games.

The last time they did so was in January 2009, a few months after the infamous 'two points from eight games' start that saw Juande Ramos sacked.

Postecoglou himself is now under heavy pressure, while chairman Daniel Levy watches from the stands.

According to the latest betting odds, the former Celtic manager is favorite to get the boot.
