Marseille fans showed a huge banner focused on Mason Greenwood during their 5-1 win over Montpellier on Saturday.
Grapping supporters focused on Greenwood and teammate Luis Henrique with a message that was displayed in the stands.
Greenwood, 23, has held a mixed campaign in Marseille who has seen him are fired for a lack of effort from manager Roberto de Zerbi, even though it was the second top scorer in Ligue 1.
And it seems that Marseille fans started losing patience with the former Manchester United also ahead.
They unfolded a banner who read: “Greenwood, Henrique, get a move on !!!”
Although some fans claim that the banner could suggest that the couple should leave the club, it seems more likely that it encourages them to make more effort.
If that is the case, it certainly worked, while Greenwood scored twice when Marseille jumped in second place in Ligue 1.
The Zerbi did not stop when assessing Greenwood's efforts earlier in the season.
The former manager of Brighton said: “Nobody can have respect for him that I do. But that doesn't change.
“I expect more from him. He has to do more, because what he is currently showing is not enough.
“If he wants to reach his ambition to become a champion, he must be more consistent, sacrifice more and be determined.”
While Marseille Sporting Director Medhi Benatia has had to deny unconscious that two senior players in the club have refused to play with Greenwood this week.
Claims in France suggested that former Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and ex-paris Saint-Germain star Adrien Rabiot have refused to play next to the star.
Reports claimed that Hojbjerg went to Benatia's office to call to remove Greenwood and teammate Henrique from the team.
In an interview with La Provence via RMC Sport, Benatia said: “Can you imagine? He didn't come to see me.
“And what is more, do you think I need a player to tell me that?
“Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is one of the most professional in the dressing room, a man who wants to unite alone and goes along with everyone, such as Rabiot.
“Today Adri dies, he only wants one thing: reach the Champions League.
“These two are really two examples, and at no time they have come to dismiss me Henrique or Greenwood. The people who say that that doesn't want the best for.”
