Greenwood scores first goal since welcoming 2nd child after moving to Marseille

Mason Greenwood celebrated the birth of his second child with his partner Harriet Robson by scoring in Marseille's 5-1 demolition of St. Etienne.

The 23-year-old converted his efforts from the place in the 50th minute after Amine Gouiri opened the score in the first half. Gouiri took his second in the hour, while Michael Murillo and Adrien Rabiot also came to the score leaf for the home team.

The strike of the former Manchester United Youngster was his 14th of the Ligue 1 campaign in front of Roberto de Zerbi, which is second in the rankings, 10 points behind leaders PSG.

Comes in the aftermath of the news that he and Robson have welcomed their second, according to the sun.

Greenwood previously revealed that his first child, daughter Summer, was born in July 2023.

On Wednesday, Greenwood shared a photo of Harriet who held the summer in a Marseille match.

Both Harriet and the summer were depicted with the name of Greenwood and not 10 on the back of their shirts.

He wrote: “Happy birthday for the best partner and mother, we love you.”

Greenwood came to Marseille in the summer in a relocation of £ 30 million and scored 14 goals in 23 performances for the French side.

It was decided that he would leave Man United after he was arrested in January 2022 before he was accused of attempted rape, abuse and controlling and compelling behavior.

The charges against Greenwood were withdrawn by the Crown Prosecution Service after the 'withdrawal of important witnesses and new material that comes to light'.

Greenwood had come through the Academy of Man United before graduating from the first team.
