UFC Middleweight Gregory Rodrigues blames a failed weight for his performance at UFC Vegas 102.
After a quick climb in the middleweight division, Gregory Rodrigues left the Octagon without lifting his hand. Days after his loss against Jared Cannonier at UFC Vegas 102, Rodrigues revealed a pre-Fight health problem that might influence his performance.
Rodrigues started a fast start against Cannonier in the UFC Vegas 102 Headliner. In the opening round, Rodrigues Cannonier dropped twice and appeared on the CUSP to win another wild knock -out victory.
But Cannonier gathered starting in round 2, surpassed Rodrigues and overwhelmed him with pressure and heavily striking. After Rodrigues started to fade in round 3 dramatically, Cannonier finished the fight for a few seconds in the fourth round with brutal and pounds.
It was a disappointing setback for Rodrigues after three straight victories let him beat on the door of a middleweight ranking. In a recent explanation of social media, Rodrigues revealed that he moisture more than Cannonier during UFC Vegas 102 Fight Week.

In a recent statement to his social media accounts, Rodrigues spoke his fans for the first time since UFC Vegas 102.

Big thanks to the [UFC] Team for the chance – I am really honored to have shared the Octagon with the #7 in the division, “said Rodrigues. “Cannonier is a very experienced hunter who taught me a lot in this fight! I saw several details that can be improved – things that will be changed. Winning fight for the night was a gift for two warriors who were not afraid to fight. Most people don't know this, but I had serious problems with my recovery after cutting the weight – my body just didn't respond. I keep wondering how it would have been played if I had been 100%…

Before UFC Vegas 102, Rodrigues won dominant victories over Denis Tiuliulin, Brad Tavares and Christian Leroy Duncan. He has been reflected since a knockout loss of one punch for Brunno Ferreira on UFC 283.
UFC Hall of Famer blamed the efficiency of Gregory Rodrigues for UFC Vegas 102 loss
After viewing the performance of Rodrigues, UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping was critical of the energy efficiency of the middleweight during the fight. Rodrigues quickly started with a high volume in the opening round, but delayed dramatically as the fight progressed.
As far as Cannonier is concerned, the 40-year-old made a new equipment after back-to-back losing to Caio Borralho and Nassourdine Imavov. Wins about people like Sean Strickland, Marvin Vettori and Kelvin Gastelum hold Cannonier in the middleweight title mix.
