The celebrations of Derrick Lewis for his victory over Tallison Teixeira were demonstrably more impressive than his performance himself.
Beloved heavyweight competition Lewis handed the first defeat of his career on Saturday evening. And within a few seconds he had broken down his pants, thrown his cup in the crowd and pretended to be urinating in the corner of the cage.
That all this came before he managed to get on the phone with President Donald Trump or a big interview after the fight to Daniel Cormier was something else. Lewis, who was arranged for the number nine fight, is now located as a legitimate competition in a division with few title options.

Derrick Lewis wasted no time to make further headlines after he had demolished Tallison Teixeira on Saturday evening in the UFC Nashville main event. The entire fight lasted only 35 seconds, and he seemed to celebrate longer on bizarre fashion.

It is common for the 40-year-old to take his shorts, and what has also become a tradition is the removal of his protective cup, which he tends to launch in the crowd. Less usual is on his way to the opposition corner and 'mark his territory' by simulating what he did on Saturday.
Before he even had time to give a big interview after the victory, Lewis had already become in the cage. And he dropped it all by on the phone with President Trump, whom he refused to work out during the press conference after the fight.
Derrick Lewis' interview after the fight in UFC Nashville was exceptionally coarse
When he finally got the microphone, Derrick Lewis did not disappoint. Solid chunks of his speech were censored for the international audience who kept an eye on the fight internationally, but his message was still coming.
“They talked about all week,” he said when he was asked about his urin stunt, which he immediately did in the rival corner after the fight. “I can't speak Portuguese, but I'm sure they were talking all week.
“I just knew that he had fought his entire career against tomato competitions, I appreciate UFC to help you, boys. I also need some of those taxis they got in Brazil for my next fight. Those guys trying to manage a limo, don't go to me.”
But Lewis saved his most shameful line for the last time when Cormier asked him 'what is next' early, he replied: “I was away for two weeks, so I want my wife afterwards. It will be a lot of grounding and beech, she knows what it is, great A -.”
