Diego Maradona suffered a painful 12-hour death in a dark room and struggled to breathe after his heart swallowed to double that of a regular size.
It is the morbid details that were reportedly created in court, because horrible images of his organs were first shown, where his daughter Jana left the room.
Seven medical professionals are on trial for culpable murder – roughly equivalent to involuntary manslaughter – after the winner of the World Cup of 1986 died after a heart attack at the age of 60 in 2020. They deny the charges.
Four and a half -liter liquid had gathered in his organs because of an acute pulmonary edema caused by his heart failure.
Forensic expert Carlos Mauricio Casinelli showed photos of brain clots, a 'sign of pain', and claimed that his heart weighed 503 grams – more than a football.
Argentinian newspaper Clarin bears the horrible details that emerged in the process, where Casinelli claimed that his torture would be easy to recognize for days.
“The heart was completely covered with fat and blood clots, which indicate pain,” he said. 'This is a patient who had collected water for the whole days; That is not acute.
“This was something that could be foreseen. Every doctor who examines a patient would find this.
“The water he had in his stomach, in both pleurae, and in his heart is not normal; It is not in a day or an hour. It has been around for several days; There is no exact time. It could have been from the moment he was driven out (from the hospital) until he died.
“This will probably take at least 10 days, given the addition of cirrhosis and myocarditis.”
Maradona had recovered from an operation on a brain blood clot at home, which he had had earlier in November. Two weeks later, Argentina and the football world were immersed in mourning.
Casinelli added: 'It was a dark, partitioned room, with a bed in the middle of the room and a portable toilet.
“It didn't seem like a suitable place for what we learned later was at home in the hospital.”
Forensic doctor Federico Corasaniti supported the claim that Maradona was a gradual death.
He believes that Maradona's condition was so bad that the pressure on his lungs would have been audible for other people.
“From my experience with generalized edema, the difficulty he must have had and have exchanged gases, and the sounds in his lungs that are audible by bringing his face close,” he said.
“In my opinion as a doctor it was not a sudden event.”
The Maradona family has negligence, a cover -up and different comments from the medical team that supervised his care – called it a 'mafia'.
He had struggled for decades with drug addiction, obesity and alcoholism and reportedly came in death in 2000 and 2004.
But public prosecutors suspect that – were it not for the negligence of his doctors – his death could have been avoided.
Seven of the eight medical professionals who have been charged in the case, including the brain surgeon of Maradona, psychiatrist and nurses, are now on trial for culpable murder, a crime that is roughly equal to involuntary manslaughter.
They deny misconduct, but could get up to 25 years in prison.
Dalma Maradona, the oldest daughter of the legend, shared a video with audio she claims, proves serious irregularities in her father's care. And she revealed that her mother is afraid of the 'Mafia' who 'controls everything'.
“My mother is worried because she is afraid,” she said in the Angel Response show at Bondi Live.
'Afraid of the Mafia, of those who control everything, have money and power. But I don't care. I know who I am, but I can't remain silent. We need people to know the truth. My mother tells me all the time “keep your mouth shut, say nothing, I'm scared”, but I can't. I owe it to him. '
Dalma would rather claim that a 'Mafia of murderers' caused the death of her father. She claims that there are recordings that prove a lack of medical attention with conversations about cover-ups and professional negligence, report from Argentinian Outlet Diario Regado.
Maradona won the World Cup with Argentina in 1986, after beating England in the quarterfinals with the infamous 'hand of God' goal and another – later 'goal of the century' voted.
Known for his breathtaking playing ability, Maradona's wild life was just as notorious; Running around with the Mafia in Naples, serial femaleization and a deadly dependence on alcohol and cocaine.
Maradona's cause of death was officially mentioned as 'acute pulmonary edema secondary to chronic heart failure'.
