Pep Guardiola insisted on patience while Manchester City wants to get their best.
The loot was shared after an underwhelming 0-0 Manchester Derby on Sunday in Old Trafford, while the visitors had difficulty creating opportunities against the well-drilled defense of Manchester United.
City then missed the opportunity to reclaim fourth place from Chelsea, who are a point for citizens with seven more games, while Newcastle United would also catch up with the victory over the wrestling of Leicester City on Monday.
With Kevin De Bruyne who works as the most advanced player of the visitors in the absence of Erling Haaland, they created an expected of only 0.49 of nine shots, five of which were on goal.
While Guardiola had the feeling that there were positives to remove from the performance, he asked time to have things clicked.
“It will take time,” he told Sky Sports. “The players gave everything today.
“There are a few things that I am happy with what I have seen, but now we have to reach the target of qualifying for the Champions League, then next season will be next season.

“We were really good at our intensity. In those terms we are satisfied for the way we did it.
“We have control, but not in the right places to hurt them in the first half; a little better in the first minutes of the second half.
“United has been an incredible transition team that defends against us deeply, with [Alejandro] Garnacho and the pace they have. They link inside, they know perfectly what to do. But we take the point.
“Against a 5-4-1 it is so narrow and overburdened. We should have been in some positions that we tried to come in, but were not good enough to punish them.”
This was just the third Manchester Derby who ended 0-0 in all matches since the beginning of 2016-17, but Ruben Dias greeted the character and the composition that was demonstrated by City.
“It was a very difficult game, it is always, they were dangerous,” he told Sky Sports. “I feel that today I have to leave with a point to add to our run to stay in the top four. There was a lot of fighting from all of us.
“Even though it was not our best performance, the way we fought and everyone was connected. The way Bernardo [Silva] And Mateo [Kovacic] Moisture for every ball. Omar's last attempt [Marmoush] – completely empty, but he still went for it. That is what we were made of.
“Time will tell how far we are [away from our best level]But I definitely feel that we are more solid; Our attitude, how we fight for duels, we can suffer in difficult circumstances. The way we respond when we lost the ball, the principles of what we are. “
For the first time since May 2024, City held a clean slate for the first time in successive Premier League matches, although for the first time since December 2020 they have not scored in successive road competitions in the competition.
