Viktor Gyokeres' saga continues, with Sporting Lisbon who makes a decision about their needs
Arsenal knows that they need a busy window in the summer transfer, second in the Premier League for the third consecutive season – and start to hang things up.
They work on transfers right against the positions, with backup goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga who takes place from Chelsea, midfielder Martin Zubimendi who arrives from Real Sociedad and Christian Norgaard from Brentford. The Gunners also want a center-back, a top class winger and a center-forward to strengthen the Mikel Arteta team.
The Slugginess in which they chase a striker has irritated a number of supporters who are desperate for a big money that signs up. The question there came down: Benjamin Sesko or Viktor Gyokees.
That question has not yet been answered, but sports director Andrea Berta continues to work on it. In the meantime, Arsenal is also chasing a center back to strengthen their options at the back. Here Mirror Football brings you the last in those areas – and more.
Gyokees Stance Clear
Arsenal is still supposed to prefer Sesko to Gyokees, but the Portuguese press has offered a different perspective on the Saga. O jogo reports that Gyokees has received permission to participate late for sport for the preseason.
The Swedish striker reportedly told the sport that he will no longer play for them and is determined to force a movement as quickly as possible. He only has eyes for Arsenal – and the Gunners know his attitude.
Arsenal had previously had an offer of € 55 million (£ 47 million) plus rejected bonuses and the report says they hope that € 60 million (£ 51 million) plus € 10 million (£ 8.5 million) will be sufficient to land him. They have apparently agreed with the agent of Gyoke, Hasan Cetinkaya, but sporting President Frederico Varandas wants € 80 million (£ 68 million) – and he is the one who matters.
Valencia wants to keep Mosquera
Arsenal has already seen an offer that Valencia was rejected for Crithic Mosquera and the Spanish club ideally wants to retain the young defender. He introduces the last 12 months of his current contract, which means that the time has come for a new deal or to sell.
Valencia captain Jose Gaya has summarized the mood around Mosquera and his teammates Javi Guerra and Cesar Tarrega. He told the Spanish radio: “I would be happy if all three of them could stay because I think they could give this new season a lot and give the fans a lot of joy. From today there is, unless there is news, they think they are all with us, and I hope it will continue like this, and they continue to grow as players.”
Arsenal will continue with the pursuit of Mosquera, who is now their primary center -like target, with a mirror football understanding that Liverpool will win the race for Marc Guehi.
PELY on his way to exit
Thomas Pedey's contract proceeds on 30 June and, without signs of an agreement, he seems to leave Arsenal as a free agent. He was associated with a move to Saudi Aarabia, but reports in Turkey say that he could join Fenerbahce.
The sports director of Fenerbahce, Devin Ozek, was reportedly in London to have conversations with the agents of the Ghana International. Jose Mourinho wanted to sign Pedey, who is on their transfer list for the Wilfried Ndidi of Leicester.
Arsenal has already prepared for his departure, in which Zubimendi and Norgaard have arrived to fill the holes left by Pedey and Jorginho.
