Gyokeres to Arsenal: Deal agreed as striker heads to London to finalize contract

Viktor Gyokeres is expected in London on Friday after Arsenal corresponded to a £ 63.8 million deal with Sporting for the Striker.

The Gunners pay the Portuguese club a guaranteed reimbursement of £ 55.1 million (€ 63.5 million), plus £ 8.7 million (€ 10 million) in add-ons.

Sky Sports News understands that Gyokeres will be released in London on Friday to sort the last contractual details with Arsenal.

It is thought that the plan is for him to join the team in Singapore and to complete his transfer of sport.

Bringing in a striker is a primary focus for Arsenal in this transfer window – they have investigated conditions for a number of players, including RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko.

Sky Sports News reported in June that Gyokeres was a target of Manchester United after they had achieved a first approach for him through intermediaries.

Gyokees part of the busy summer in Arsenal

Developments around Gyokeres are amid a busy summer of income in Arsenal.

They announced the signing of midfielder Martin Zubimendi van Real Sociedad in a £ 51 million deal and another central midfielder, Christian Norgaard, arrived from Brentford for £ 15 million.

Spaniard Kepa Arrizabalaga was signed for £ 5 million from Chelsea, followed by a £ 52 million deal for Noni Madueke.

And Arsenal have been set to confirm the signing of Valencia defender Crithian Mosquera in an initial £ 13 million deal.
