Arsenal still tries to get a blockbuster deal for Viktor Gyokeres over the line and remain locked up in conversations with Sporting Lisbon about a transfer costs for the rush hour
Viktor Gyokees has dropped the biggest hint, but his dream movement to Arsenal is finally about to completion – by lending a friend to empty his house in Portugal.
The sporty Lisbon star, 27, has emerged as the top players' goal of the Gunners. And Gyokees would like to move to the Premier League and join the side of Mikel Arteta, despite interest from elsewhere this summer, including Juventus, Manchester United and clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
Arsenal and Sporting are locked up in conversations while trying to eliminate a deal for the Sweden International.
And although an agreement is now nearby, Gyokees already seems to be preparing for the big move.
A disposal van was shown outside what the claimed Gyokeres Home in Portugal is by CNN on Thursday. Record has confirmed the authenticity of the images and that the striker authorized a friend to supervise the process.
The report says that all Gyokeres assets, including his furniture, were removed from the building before his potential move.
However, Gyokeres is supposed to still be in Stockholm while waiting for the green light to travel to London and to complete the formalities of a transfer to Arsenal.
The Gunners have submitted a fixed reimbursement of € 63.5 million (£ 55 million) with a further € 10 million (£ 8.6 million) in add-ons. Negotiations are now aimed at the composition of the aforementioned add-ons, with sporty pushing up to € 7.5 million (£ 6.5 million) of that total to be easy to be feasible.
Gyokeres refused to return to the training for the season with Sporting last week while the conversations continue between the two clubs during a transfer. Frederico Varandas, the sporty president, confirmed plans to pay for the striker.
“We are calm. Everything will be solved with the closure of the market, a heavy fine and an apology to the group,” Varandas told the Lusa News Agency last weekend. “If they do not want to pay a real market value for Viktor (interested clubs), we will be very comfortable with it for the next three years.
“If the geniuses that come up with this strategy think that this puts me pressure to facilitate the exit, they are not only completely wrong, but also make the player's exit even more complicated.
“Nobody is above the interests of the club, whoever they can be.”
