Barcelona is investigating options to strengthen their attack this summer, with Liverpool's Luis Diaz reportedly their priority goal. However, the Colombian would be an ambitious choice, whereby the Reds probably won't let him leave without a large fee that goes the other way. If they cannot get a deal for Diaz, they consider alternatives.
Although many of the news about Barcelona has focused on the goalkeeper position in recent days, the Blaugrana is still watching Forward this summer. If Diaz turns out to be impossible, then Marcus Rashford is cited as a potential alternative to the price, but Barcelona would consider a loan with an option to buy, while Manchester United will strive for a permanent exit.
According to Semper Barca, Feyenoord -attacker Igor Paixao is one of the names that has drawn the attention of the Blaugrana. The versatility of the 24-year-old has to his advantage, with manager Hansi Flick appreciates the fact that he can play well across the front line, even if he is most comfortable on the left wing.
As is the case for most Barcelona players, there is already a list of interested parties, with Arsenal, Liverpool, Atalanta, Napoli, AS Roma and Aston Villa who all guard what is happening to him this summer. His projected price tag is somewhere between € 35 million and € 40 million.
Earlier, Paixao has pronounced an admiration for Barcelona Vice-Captain Raphinha and described him as 'an example for me and all Brazilians'. Paixao went on his way to Feyenoord of Curitiba three years ago for € 4.5 million and grew to life in the Netherlands, scored 18 goals and gave 19 assists in 47 performances this season.
He was crucial in the progress of Feyenoord along AC Milan and in the round of 16 in the Champions League, where they met inter. It has been by far his most productive season at Feyenoord, where Paixao set up 21 goals and 10 assists in his previous 82 outings.
