Barcelona are currently looking for a team manager, following a complaint from star player Robert Lewandowski. Manager Hansi Flick is the one who requested the change.
According to Sport, Barcelona's nutrition department, sporting director Deco and Joan Laporta's ex-brother-in-law Alejandro Echevarria are currently interviewing for the position of team chief. The change stems from a complaint from Lewandowski about the way the eggs were prepared. Flick took the complaint to heart and conveyed his concerns to the club, requesting the hiring of a professional chef.
The German coach has made it clear that he wants to control every aspect of the players' recovery and fitness, and nutrition is clearly part of that. This can be seen in the changes in traveling for the Blaugrana squad this season. While Barcelona previously typically returned from a late away trip the same evening, Flick has made sure his players stay overnight to get a good night's sleep before returning the next day.
