
Alexander Volkanovski vs. Diego Lopes ends in a finish.
The former UFC Bantamweight Champion spent some time training with Alexander Volkanovski in Thailand in preparation for his return this weekend.
After more than a year away, Set Volkanovski on the way to #3 Compendeder Diego Lopes for the vacant featherweight title in the main event of UFC 314 this Saturday.
Considered as the greatest featherweight of all time by some, Volkanovski comes back to back-to-back for the first time in his career. Lopes, on the other hand, has been running a five-fighter profit track since Movsar Evloev has almost upset in his UFC debut.

Aljamain Sterling says that Alexander Volkanovski has put him together pretty well
Lopes, a renowned submission artist, Volkanovski worked in February with another great grappler in Aljamain Sterling.
Sterling defeated Movsar Evloev almost his last time-out and trained with Volkanovski, the former champion talks about how high level of an athlete 'The Great' is.
“In the beginning it was rough for me,” said Sterling about training with Volkanovski in an interview with Helen Yee.
“Not in a good way …
“He beat me pretty well,” said Sterling and noticed that he was not the most in shape at the start of their training.

“I think Volkanovski for a decision or through the ground to pound,” Sterling predicted.
“But in the first and second round I think Diego has the highest opportunity to win.
“I think once he is over, he gets tired, and only because I have seen that in earlier fights. I am not talking about S ***. It is just that literally what I have seen, other people who have seen it.”
“If he can catch him early, his chin tests because we don't know the state of his chin now,” said Sterling about Volkanovski.
Alexander Volkanovski was previously chosen by Islam Makhachev and Ilia Topuria in a period of four months, but Aljamain Sterling refuses to count the master technician at UFC 314.
“Again, I think people know where they are,” Sterling explained.
“I don't think he's looking for bumps in the bag. If he is fighting smartly in his capacities, what he could show us, I think people are running away with it …”
