‘He doesn’t care’… UFC fan favorite scoffs at Conor McGregor’s political aspirations amidst Irish presidential campaign

UFC -Superster Justin Gaethje does not buy what Conor McGregor sells when it comes to his Irish presidential campaign.

Conor McGregor takes a big gamble in the move to Irish politics and away from his legendary fighting career, while preparing for the President of Ireland in 2025. But according to a colleague UFC-Superster, the political ambitions of McGregor are all based on a stunt of public relations.

McGregor has not fought in the UFC Octagon since he injured his leg against Dustin Poirier on UFC 264. Since then he has been supposed to return to MMA on UFC 303 opposite Michael Chandler before he withdrew due to a toe injury.

Justin Gaethje mentions Conor McGregor's Bluff on political ambitions

McGregor almost broke the internet when he announced his intentions to go for president in Ireland in the upcoming elections. While political experts in Ireland give McGregor minimal opportunities to make the mood, nevertheless win the elections, McGregor does not remain deterred in his pursuit of making changes to Irish political leadership.

McGregor's political run has received mixed reactions from the Combat Sports Community. Former UFC light weight champion Charles Oliveira stated that McGregor had finished fighting and was potentially correct after the appearance of McGregor on a recent Bare Knuckle FC press conference.

If that is the case, and McGregor is indeed ready to compete in the cage, one of his former lightweight colleagues believes that McGregor's political ambitions are all part of an action.

During a recent episode of Funky and the Champ, Justin Gaethje made a surprise call to Daniel Cormier, and was asked about the opportunities that McGregor became the president of Ireland.

“Daniel, no longer stop me for these stupid S -” Gaethje told Cormier. “Terrible question. He doesn't know – about Ireland, and he is not a concern. America, honey.”

Gaethje's comments are not on an island, because this is the last in a series of attacks that have been traded between him and McGregor in recent years. After the back-to-back losing from McGregor to have Poirier in 2021, Gaethje expressed profound pleasure in the downfall of the Irish superstar.

McGregor reacted by mocking Gaethje as a 'clown' after an entry defeat against Oliveira on UFC 274. From this letter, McGregor has not responded to Gaethje's latest comments.

Conor McGregor stops on the shelf to possibly become the political leader of Ireland

McGregor proved his seriousness about a switch to the political empire during a recent visit to the White House to meet US President Donald Trump. The invitation for McGregor came after Trump publicly praised McGregor's fighting performance during a meeting with Irish political leaders, and McGregor reacted by prizes Trump's 'inspiring work ethics'.

McGregor raised eyebrows when he hinted that his fighting career could end after the White House meeting. UFC leadership has not publicly commented on McGregor's claims that he might have finished fighting, and McGregor remains contraction with the promotion.

As far as Gaethje is concerned, he may be the next in line for a lightweight title shot against UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev, which is expected to return later this year. Gaethje defeated Rafael Fiziev through a unanimous decision on UFC 313, an extraordinary Bounceback version after he was eliminated by Max Holloway.

McGregor and Gaethje will probably never be friendly, and the time will learn whether the political goals of McGregor will produce positive results. Regarding McGregor's Fighting Future, a BKFC debut is now more likely to flourish than a return to MMA.
