The South African is slowly cementing his place as one of the greatest middleweights of all time.

Tom Aspinall isn't sure why Dricus Du Plessis is so good

Although he is known for knocking out any opponent who dares step foot in the cage with him, Tom Aspinall is much more than just a fighter.

The Brit spends hours analyzing his opponents and figuring out how best to expose their weaknesses.

With that in mind, it's a good thing he won't be fighting Dricus Du Plessis anytime soon, as the power puncher is left scratching his head trying to figure out why the 185-pound king is so successful.

After thinking about it carefully, he has come to the conclusion that it must have something to do with his physicality and not his skills.

In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, the Englishman said: “In my opinion he fights so strangely. From the outside looking in, it's hard to figure out what he's good at.

“But there are some things you can't see with the naked eye from the outside, that you can only feel when you're inside – force – you can't see force. Speed, timing: these are all things that are hard to see from the outside, it's something you can only feel.

“He had a big win over Sean Strickland earlier this year, then he beat a legend in Israel Adesanya. Two great performances.

“I am very excited to see him continue as defending champion in 2025 when he fights Sean Strickland again.”

Aspinall is absolutely fascinated by the sport of mixed martial arts, with a willingness to do whatever it takes to improve his game.

He has even expressed interest in training with the great Brock Lesnar.

The 31-year-old would like to work on one specific thing with the former world heavyweight champion.
