‘He has never asked me’ – Ancelotti dismisses suggestions of Mbappe unhappiness

Real Madrid will be back in action on Sunday after the international break during the short trip to Leganes. The reigning La Liga champions cut Barcelona's lead at the top of the table to three points two weeks ago, and they will be hoping to make even more of it this weekend.

According to Diario AS, Carlo Ancelotti assessed his team ahead of the match.

“The team is good, they came back in good form, without any problems. Those who have been here have worked well. We have to confirm the good feelings from the last match. We want to start well. Hopefully it will be a good match.”

Ancelotti also spoke about Kylian Mbappe, who was able to rest during the international break after being left out of the France squad. He also spoke about the positional situation with the 25-year-old.

“He has been able to train well, his condition has improved. Hopefully he can show all his qualities, of which he has many.”

“Kylian never asked me for a position on the field. They all want to be in the starting eleven, they do not have a fixed position and can change depending on the match situation.”

Mbappe's start at Real Madrid has been disappointing to say the least. With international football set for 2024, he hopes he can deliver consistent performances.
