‘He looked like trash’… Mike Tyson slammed by former multiple-weight boxing champion for his performance against Jake Paul

Last Friday, Mike Tyson and Jake Paul took part in what will go down as one of the greatest boxing events of all time from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The professional boxing fight has been the subject of controversy from the moment it was first announced, especially when the fight was postponed in June due to Mike Tyson's ongoing health issues.

Nevertheless, the fight went ahead last Saturday from the packed 70,000-capacity AT&T Stadium, and while it was mediocre for the most part, it broke all kinds of viewership records after being streamed live on Netflix.

Terence Crawford criticizes Mike Tyson's performance against Jake Paul

Since his rise to fame in the sport in 2020, Jake Paul has divided the boxing fanbase due to his enthusiastic and confident personality.

Making up for his massive 31-year age gap, 'The Problem Child' made relatively easy work of the 58-year-old former undisputed heavyweight champion and picked up another win in the ring.

However, both Paul and Tyson have received a lot of criticism following the event, with a large majority of the fanbase labeling it a 'circus'.

One fighter who was less than pleased with 'Iron Mike's' performance, despite being 58 years old, was former multi-weight world champion Terence Crawford.

“I love Mike Tyson, but they gave him too much credit. He looked like trash, to train for so long and only throw 97 punches, the whole fight is crazy. I'm just glad he didn't get hurt there,” Crawford said on his social media.

Despite coming out of the fight defeated, Tyson claimed he was a winner, revealing he had had eight blood transfusions in the lead-up to the fight and was afraid he would die at some point.

Fans were fueled with hope in the build-up to the fight as training footage of the 58-year-old and his team showed he still looked fast and powerful and looked like he could cause Paul problems.

Jake Paul responds to Artur Beterbiev's call for an undisputed title fight

Although Paul was hoping for another cruiserweight title fight against Canelo Alvarez, he was shockingly drafted by current undisputed light heavyweight champion, Artur Beterbiev.

Beterbiev became the king of the light heavyweight division last month when he defeated Dmitry Bivol in an undisputed title fight, winning via unanimous decision.

Despite a rematch against Bivol being expected, Beterbiev responded to 'The Problem Child's' performance over Tyson by offering him an undisputed title fight.

“What can you do in the ring against the current undisputed champion? Just know that I am always open to any suggestions,” Beterbiev claimed on X.

After seeing the Russian's offer on Hahaha. Four years later I am running this sport,” Paul responded.
