“He told me he wants to stay” – Real Betis CEO on Man United loanee Antony

Antony has been a revelation for real betis since he signed on loan from Manchester United during the winter transfer window, after he had scored three goals and gave two assists in seven performances in all competitions.

The start of Antony to Life at Betis is in stark contrast with his fortunes at Man United, who signed him for big money from Ajax in the summer of 2022. He has preferred his time in Andalusia, and that is why there has already been talk of him who may stay in the club for the at least another season.

Last month Betis CEO Ramon Alarcon admitted that this is a possibility – despite the fact that the club has no option to buy as part of the loan agreement with Man United. Nevertheless, that should not prevent them from speaking with the Premier League giants at the end of the season.

Alarcon has again spoken to Antony, this time to Canal Sur's 'El Pelotazo' (via MD). During the interview he unveiled a recent conversation he had with the Brazilian winger.

“Recently Antony told me that he wants to stay for another year. The player is very comfortable here and was surprised with the facilities that we gave him to settle in the city as soon as he arrived. '

It is no surprise that Antony has felt very arranged since he came to Betis, and his versions speak for themselves. It is clear that both players and clubs want to extend their relationship, although this depends on Man United, who is said to cash in the 25-year-old in the summer.

It is still too considering whether Antony can remain, but for now his full focus will ensure a successful end of the season for Betis. So far it is going well.
