Harry Kane's waiting for a first career trophy will continue after Bayern Munich had admitted a late equalizer in their collision against RB Leipzig.
Suspended before the collision, Kane looked up from the stands in the Red Bull Arena when Bayern looked to conquer the Bundesliga title for the first time since his arrival.
Things, however, took a turn on it worse after Leipzig raced in an early 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Benjamin Sesko and Lukas Klostermann in the first half.
After the break, Bayern switched the heat and was in flat terms after two goals in two minutes from former Prime Minister League stars Eric Dier and Michael Olise.
Kane looked nervous from the stands while his side pressed a winning goal and in the 83rd minute it seemed as if that moment had come.
Leroy Sane made an attempt at the Leipzig –Net and it seemed as if that was the goal that Bayern would win the title. Unfortunately for Kane that was not the case.
While the captain of England ran down to be a pitch side for the last whistle, Leipzig Yussuf Poulsen spoiled the party after scoring with the last kick of the game.
The Danish striker provided a neat chip in the 94th minute to leave Bayern keeper Jonas Urbig on the floor and Kane in disbelief.
Images from the game showed Kane in surprise when the hosts equalized with the last kick of the game.
Bayern could still conquer the title without having to play another game, if the second placed Bayer Leverkusen did not beat in their collision tomorrow.
After he discovered that he would be suspended for the Leizpig collision, Kane admitted that it pricked when he found out that he would not be able to contribute to the game.
He explained: 'Crazy, Crazy Decision! It is a kind of my story that I will miss the Leipzig game. But no worries, I will celebrate more than anyone else. '
Despite missing the decisive match, few Kane's impact on Bayern's success would deny this season.
In 27 Starts and two replacement performances in the Bundesliga, the captain of England scored 24 goals and offered seven assists.
Kane will be available for selection for their next match against Borussia Monchengladbach next Saturday.
