Henry Cejudo ended one of the most iconic runs in all combat sports when he finally dethroned a large number of all time in 2018.
Before he became the 'King of Cringe', Cejudo was a flight weight candidate who put his way back to the title after the only knockout defeat of his life. Demetrious Johnson ruled Supreme on top of the division and essentially seemed unbeatable at 125LB.
On UFC 227, however, Cejudo finally got his chance for a rematch and brought a phenomenal version over five rounds to finally struggle the belt of his rival.

Everyone to put an end to the reign of Demetrious Johnson would be extremely difficult, as Henry Cejudo knew all too well. After all, he was already one of the victims of perhaps the most dominant champion in the UFC at that time.
Around the period of 2018, many statistics with regard to records would be marked as 'exclusive Demetrious Johnson', considering how under control of the flight weight division was 'Mighty Mouse'. And in April 2016, Cejudo experienced it firsthand when he was eliminated in the first round of their UFC 197 showdown.
The Olympic gold medal winner was knee in the first three minutes and stopped and gave him the first defeat of his professional career. This loss was exacerbated in his next outing against Joe Benavidez, who won a controversial split decision in their first meeting, causing Cejudo to lose twice on the bounce.

It took Cejudo for two years to return his way to title conflicts, beating Wilson trip and future Bellator champion Sergio Pettis to return to the top kozings. He was booked for UFC 227 in California and had to go the distance to get it over the line.

The competition seemed to be ankle early – an injury that would continue to exist during his career. But he managed to fight through it and scored a Takedown with his Olympic champion in the second.
It was a legendary back and forth who divided fans and judges, with Cejudo won 48-47 on two score cards and losing on the other side. It spelled the end of a beloved and long -term regime that had lasted the best part of six years and 12 world title fights.

After the fight, a trilogy never came out when Johnson moved to one championship in an exchange for Ben Askren. Instead, Cejudo saved the flight weight division by eliminating the Bantam weight champion TJ Dillashaw, before he went up in search of a second belt.
Dillashaw failed a drug test and was then suspended, which means that Cejudo was able to eliminate Marlon Moraes for the now empty belt at 135LB. He once defended the belt against Dominick Cruz, before he announced his retirement during the first UFC event during the Coronavirus era.
The pension seemed to be a trick for more money that the UFC ignored, and he eventually returned three years later to cope with Aljamain Sterling. He lost that effort and was also defeated by the final champion Merab Dvalishvili, which means that Saturday night's fight is a must-win against Song Yadong.
