Henry Cejudo has admitted that his career in the cage might have come to an awkward end.
On February 22, 2025, in UFC Seattle, the wrestling icon toe to toe with Song Yadong went into a must-win competition.
However, after he had been punctured, the former two -weight world champion could not continue.
Although Cejudo tried to make the situation light by mocking the referee, who tried to maintain the rules during his recent loss, it seems that the realization of the seriousness of his injury was affected at home.

Henry Cejudo admits that pension is a very real possibility
After he lost to Ya Dong, Henry Cejudo expected that he would heal soon, so he could return to training for another big fight.
Unfortunately, things have not been as smooth as he had wanted, with the 38-year-old confessing that his future in sport does not look good.
In an interview with MMA Junkie's The Bohnfire Podcast, he explained: “I sound like a crying baby, but it is the worst injury I have had.
“I actually got a second opinion. I went to the doctor of Sean O'Malley. The other, he said my eye would be good in a month, but every time I watch TV, I still see double. It has been a month and it was a small pink that entered (my eye), and I am still not 100 percent.
“My doctor said it would be a different month.” Korean zombie “(Chan Sung Jung) has the same symptoms and it was the reason he had to retire.
“I see Double. When I put my eye in a certain way, I see two feet. Fortunately it is only when I lay down if I look down, but it took me five days before my eye would stop seeing double when I was injured. It is not the fact that I could not see it, but I saw two people.
“I have never really seen the sport of mixed martial arts as a bit dangerous. I spoke with my wife, and I think this could possibly be my last fight. Another one and that is it. If I can run it back with song, I would be happy with that. But if it is not a song, I want everyone who wants to give the UFC.
“I want to be able to play with my children. I don't want to be able to lose. That is a bit of how I feel now, to be honest with you.
“I don't want to leave – I don't mind losing, but I don't want to be hit in my freaking eye ball. It just can't end that way. And I am grateful. I love Dana White and everyone.
“This is not a chance at the UFC. They have given me a platform to really help my family, to really place myself in a great position where I can set myself up for the future. But at the same time my health number 1 is above all.
“I am not sure what the UFC has planned (for me). I definitely want to fight somewhere in the fall. Let my eye heal, they said for 30 days, but if it doesn't get better, I just don't know when I will be back. I think this is the last, and that's all she wrote.”
