Henry Cejudo vs Song Yadong UFC Seattle result: Legendary double champion declares he can’t see as fight ends in controversial fashion

Henry Cejudo was defeated by Song Yadong when their fight ended in controversial way when the UFC legend set his Octagon career on the line.

The iconic world champion Two weight is one of only four hunters in the promotional history that belts keep in different divisions at the same time. Participation in him in the club are BonaFide Superstars Conor McGregor, Daniel Cormier and Amanda Nunes.

However, he shocked in 2020 after defending his Bantamweight belt and took three years off before he returned in 2023. Since then he has lost to Aljamain Sterling and Merab Dvalishvili, which means that the UFC Seattle event has taken extra meaning on Saturday evening.

From the opening bell, Henry Cejudo forced the issue against Song Yadong while he stacked himself and worked on the front foot. 'Triple C' chose the famous captain Eric Albarracin in the corner, instead for a new team that seemed to have a solid game plan in the opening fairs.

A Cejudo head kick let him be caught by song, but the most important moment came when he landed a leg that seemed to have his Chinese rival struggling. He continued the pressure on that leg and even led to the second.

For an Olympic wrestling champion, the former champion is not necessarily known for its use of the Takedown and continued that form in the second round. He has always been at ease at his feet and showed that he ended up in a striking exchange with his rival.

Both men landed large punches in the last phases of round two, although it seemed to be that songs that ran his rival in both Stanza's. The greater damage and more accuracy was from the former champion, but it remained unclear who scored with the jury members.

In the third, Cejudo landed with the left, but seemed to wear the impressive counter -bumps of songs. Towards the end of the round, despite two temporary stop settlements for a groin strike and an eye choke, De Ronde all went for songs.

The second violation saw Cejudo on it that he needed all five minutes of a break, after he was planned in vain for his rival to have a point taken. As soon as the break was over, the song immediately put on the pressure to find a finish.

At the end of the third, Cejudo insisted that he could no longer see after the eye, which led that referee Jason Herzog called a stop to the fight and sent to the score cards. He and the song seemed to show after the fact, while the score cards were collected and a decision was made.

The score cards were on the board 29-28 for Song Yadong and ran the biggest victory of his career. Immediately after the fight, he insisted that the couple had to 'go back' for a rematch, despite the fact that Cejudo was now 0-3 in his Octagon Comeback.

UFC Seattle Was Night of Knock -Outs with eight stop settlements

Prior to the showdown of Cejudo and Song in the main event, it was an exciting evening of action for the raw crowd in Seattle. Fans arrived early to catch the prelims and were rewarded with seven stop settlements on the Prelim card, including two submissions in the first round and five knockouts.

The main map was not that exciting, with the Co-Main event between Brendan Allen and Anthony Hernandez won the distance from 'Fluffy' by unanimous decision. However, the other two points decisions were exciting splits, with judges distributed to who the company did.

And early in the night, fans were treated to an exciting series of finishes, including a rare entry defeat for Turkish powerhouse Ibo Aslan. Perhaps the most exciting was the stunning knockout of the Star Ricky Simon birthplace of Javid Basharat.
