The debut of a new arrival in the Octagon has undergone a late and unexpected change prior to Fight Night.
On June 21, the UFC will arrive in Baku for the first time with a strong fighting night card with various long -awaited matchups.
The weightings on Friday morning are already completed with every hunter who reaches the goal, including the two men involved in the light heavyweight main event, Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree Jr.
Together with a fascinating Co-Main event collision in the lightweight division, one of the most intriguing competitions for Hardcore Vecht fans sees a former Rizin and Bellator Star walking for the first time.
Tofiq Musayev takes on mytybek Orolbai on the main map in his first fight in more than a year if he can compete for his home fans.
Tofiq Musayev vs Mytybek Orolbai is now ready to take place at a catch at UFC Baku
Although every fight has now been confirmed for UFC Baku that follows the weightings, there was some confusion when both Tofiq Musayev and Mytybek Orolbai stepped on the scales.
They were originally planned to meet each other on 155 pounds, but both men were far above the lightweight limit.
Musayev hit the scales at 163 while Orolbai came to 165 and although a complete explanation has not yet been unveiled, an update has been published.
The UFC confirmed that the matchup will take place with a catch of 165 pounds, although it was not reported when this decision was taken and which way drove for this.
With the last outing of Orolbai, a fight of the night match with Mateusz Rebecki on UFC 308 last October, which also took place at a catch after being planned for lightweight, some fans suggested that the 27-year-old possibly a weight class should be raised after June 21.
Tofiq Musayev vs. Mytybek Orolbai now takes place with 165 pounds, per promotion. I'm not sure why or when there was a deviation from lightweight #ufcbaku

Tofiq Musayev wants to hit the ground in his UFC debut in 35 years old
With a pro-record of 22-5, Tofiq Musayev will enter the UFC as a sport veteran, who was confronted with quality position during his time in Rizin and Bellator.
It is very logical for the promotion to sign Musayev for this card, given that he represents fighting from Baku and Azerbaijan, but he believes that he can compile a serious run despite his age.
“People always talk about my age, but I don't feel old at all,” Musayev told the media prior to Fight Night in Baku. “I feel great. Age is just a song for me. I have a lot of experience, and I believe that experience is more important than age. I am here to show everyone that I can still compete at the highest level and make a run for the title.”
Musayev is currently running a two-fighter win and ends with Streak, after he has not fought since his last performance in Rizin, which took place in November 2023.
