Hojlund fails to manage a single touch in penalty area against man city

The performance of Rasmus Hojlund in the boring Manchester Derby showed why Ruben Amorim is after a new striker in the summer.

The DANE struggled to lead the border on the side of Pep Guardiola, whose own lack of intention in the 0-0 draw could be punished in the race for a Champions League place.

But Hojlund really had trouble influencing the game and hardly had any involvement during the 71 minutes he was on the field.

Indeed, the statistics really reflect how difficult he found it with a sunny Old Trafford.

The 22-year-old had only 15 touches and completed only seven of his nine attempt at fit and accuracy of 78 percent.

The Down-Trodden striker could also not register any touch in the city's box.

Hojlund also had zero shots with the goal of Niererson.

He lost the ball four times before he was replaced by Joshua Zirkzee with 19 minutes of normal time.

ZIRKZEE – who had 11 touches in the last Sintels – was a more handful of the city line and went close to an elusive opener when he tested Edererson by Patrick Dorgu's Cross.

But Hojlund may show why he should be replaced in advance in the summer.

Sunday's draw came days after the center-back Harry Maguire was launched in front of finding a winner against Nottingham Forest.

And although Maguire could not find a Leveler, he collected more XG in extra time than Hojlund in his last 15 performances earlier.

The former Atalanta -man, signed for £ 72 million in 2023, only has eight goals this period – including only three in the Premier League.

The Red Devils will fight against Arsenal for Amorim's former sporty striker Viktor Gyokeres.

United and City have been under their usual standards this season and the scoreless draw in Old Trafford showed that.

Amorim played seven defensive players and trusted Bruno Fernandes for the incidental promising pass.

The Portuguese manager said: “Both teams are not fighting for the title – that the game changed.

“You can make a funny game, but that feeling of not losing a point and winning every game at home is not here.”

But Gary Neville closed that sentiment closed and said the derby was a bad advertisement for the prem.

Neville said: “The best teams of City and Man United would be very disappointed about the way they approached the end of that match.

“It seems that it's Sunday afternoon and they are now going together for a roast dinner.

“They are micromanaged in an inch of their lives, so robot -like and it is symptomatic for many games that we watch today.”

Roy Keane also tore full -time in all cuddling and chatting.

Amorim has since responded: “I understand that Gary is crucial about everything, so I understand that part.

“Then I understand that we are the worst season in history at the moment.

“So we are not in the best moments to give every fan the best spectacle.”

But the fans were ready, with a lot of singing in reference to the 130 Counts City Face for alleged breaches of the financial rules of the Premier League.

And Guardiola condemned the home fans for songs about the mother of Phil Foden.

Sections of Old Trafford sang: “Phil Foden, your mother is so ** g.”

The Red Devils are confronted with Lyon in the quarterfinals of the Europa League, with the first stage in France on Thursday.

In the meantime, City is fifth, still one point behind Chelsea after the blues played its own 0-0-drawing game against Brentford.

Newcastle can still catch up if she beat the wrestling Leicester City in the King Power Stadium on Monday evening.
