Kayla Harrison is strongly advised to continue to reduce to 135 pounds while she continues to pursue the UFC title.
When the UFC Harrison signed at the beginning of 2024, it was generally considered one of the greatest signing sessions that the promotion made in recent decade.
The former PFL star then made his debut on the monumental UFC 300, finished Holly Holm in the second round and announced itself as a real threat in the Bantam weight division for women.
Her second outing in the promotion was not as smooth as the first, because Harrison was cut open by Ketlen Vieira, despite the fact that he achieved the unanimous decision gain.

Megan Anderson warns Kayla Harrison about the dangers of continuing to cut to 135 pounds
In anticipation of her fight on UFC 307, Harrison revealed that she had been 'peeing blood', which expressed a lot of concern among the community together with expert nutritionists.
Kayla Harrison has always fought at 145 and 155 pounds and therefore when the UFC dissolved the women's featherweight division, the hair left her with only one option.
However, she was warned about the dangers of continuing to cut to 135 pounds through former title -Uitdager, Megan Anderson.
“The Caviat for me with Kayla is, just because you can make the weight, does not always mean that you should do that,” Anderson told Mmafighting.
“For women, these great cuts, it is not good. So even when she goes outside, she dominated Julianna (Pena), or it is a battle back and forth and she eventually becomes the champion, I don't see her fighting too much longer.
“It is the toll on the body, it is the quality of life, I am sure that weight broken is miserable for her because I know that 145 pounds was miserable for me … She has to start preparing three months before that weight broken because it is so big for her,” she continued.
When will Kayla Harrison vs Julianna Pena take place?
Harrison is known from the camp that it will be as heavy as 170 pounds, which ensures a devastating brutal weight area.
Nevertheless, the 34-year-old seems to be committed to a title fight against champion, Julianna Pena, with the two locked up in a long-term feud.
There have been constant conversations that the two will meet this year at some point, but apparently Pena can still be recovered from an injury, so that the potential date for that collision remains unknown.
