How Amorim’s genius tweak unleashed Mazraoui to give MU new attacking threat

Ruben Amorim has a new attacking threat at his disposal after a successful “Tweak” on his side of Manchester United against Arsenal.

The Red Devils shared the loot with the Noord-Londonrs thanks to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford last Sunday.

However, Amorim was not happy with the failure of his troops to hold all three points, from which Declan Rice denied them with a stunning second half finish.

But he will be happy with the assisting threat defender Noussair Mazraoui showed that he can be on the right.

And in the latest episode of Sunssport's tactics, our tactic expert Dean Scoggins looks at how the Moroccan showed how he can be a versatile threat in the future when he is combined with Alejandro Garnacho.

Here are four from Dean's observations about Mazraoui of the draw …

1) Insight into Garnacho

Garnacho creates that indecision because he relies on Mazraoui's decision -making to give him the ball when he can and cannot bomb the outside and leave him in a Dodgy position.

And it also means that Garnacho can stand up when United wins back.

And we saw those three or four times where Garnacho wore the ball on the right in the first half.

During the break, fantastic from Amorim. What he has done is only a subtle small tweak with their positioning to bring Garnacho wide to the right and run to Wing, and then Mazraoui goes into the inner channel in him.

2) Making problems

Mazraoui was [often] The free man. He was in a number ten position, a striker position and a right wing position.

He was the one who caused all the problems and we saw the ideal Amorim scenario – [Diogo] Dalot, a wing back, crosses it to Mazraoui, the other wing back.

[The] Save of David Raya should probably have been the winner of United because they played very, very well in that second half of the counterattack.

They were comfortable from position. And with the crossover of Mazraoui and Garnacho and understood where to go, they caused Arsenal a real problem on that left side.

3) Indoor and external threats

Oh, sure, [this is the Mazraoui Manchester United they were signing].

And I also think that Mazraoui is an honor that he did the work that Amorim asked him.

Amorim has to tick a few boxes when we go through this.

They defended brilliantly against Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal in the FA Cup.

Does Mazraoui play as a right fullback in a rear five? They did that in the first half. So he sometimes came up well.

Mazraoui, he was the one who sustained the outside in the first half.

In the second half they switch that over and Garnacho will wide and then Mazraoui comes to the inside.

He is a good baller in those positions. He can pick it up at number ten and he is two feet.

He can also play between those lines.

And as we said week after week, Amorim's formation depends on wing backs that drive ahead.

Otherwise they are simply void. Mazraoui offered. That was really good.

4) versatility

I think he was an example [of a player who says to his manager]'Where?' 'Back left, boss? No problem.

'Boss, boss? No problem? Wing back? Yes, I can play that attacking role. Second off? No problem. I'll do that too. '
