The newest bizarre take by Chael Sonnen surrounds former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.
2025 could mark a huge year in the career of Oliveira. Three years after his most recent title fight, the Brazilian fan favorite will soon get another chance to regain Champ Status.
With the Islam Makhachev who moved off the throne and moved to good weight, it was recently announced that Oliveira and Ilia Topuria will fight for the empty lightweight crown.
The first title government of 'Do Bronx' came to a disappointing end when he missed the weight before beating Justin Gaethje. Oliveira was stripped of the UFC title and unable to win it back against 'The Highlight' on UFC 274.
But according to Sonnen, the removal of Oliveira as a champion was not entirely legal.

During a video that was uploaded to his YouTube channel, 'The Bad Guy' responded to the approaching title holiday of Makhachev.
The subject of belts that was removed outside the cage brought Sonnen back to Oliveira's-in-debacle in 2022.
Sonnen is never anyone who screams when it comes to sending some questionable opinions, but he said that this topic is one that he was told to remember for 'legal' reasons.
“I was told by a great adviser:” Stop talking about this! ” It was the night that Charles Oliveira lost the world championship to the scale, “said Sonnen.
“I have investigated the rules and articles of association. To this day I do not believe that there was an authority to strip Charles Oliveira. … I was told:” Chael, this is not a subject that people give. You have to go on. ” I couldn't do it here.
“But there were very legal implications that came, whether you defend your belt or participate in a title match as a whole or what will be the next for Charles.”

As soon as the bell rang for Oliveira's UFC 274 main event against Gaethje, he was no longer the lightweight Kingpin.
But that did not stop him from delivering the goods in the Octagon and to ensure that his next fight would offer a chance for salvation.
After 'the highlight', however, Oliveira suffered a first defeat in five years and 11 fights by Makhachev in Abu Dhabi.
'Do Bronx' has since exchanged victories and losses, the most recently to improve Michael Chandler for the second time to secure his place in one side of the UFC 317 headliner on 28 June.

Oliveira will now want to string consecutive consecutive triumphs and add a win -streak to his UFC record for the first time since Gaethje submitted in 2022.
Such an achievement would also see him a two-time UFC light weight champion and the first blemish on the current perfect record of Topuria.
