The former Chelsea star Conor Gallagher chatted the form of you by Ed Sheeran as part of an unusual new initiative.

The midfielder, 25, closed his football boots for a leather jacket while grabbed the microphone.

In collaboration with a Spanish Lager brand, Atletico has encouraged players to join a band when singing on stage.

Earlier this season, Gallagher's teammate Rodrigo Riquelme participated in a similar video.

While Atleti Women's team star Gio Garbelini and Andrea Medina have also taken the microphone.

Gallagher joined two other singers and a saxophonist and looked at home while he was central.

Atletico encourages young singers to submit videos of themselves that perform.

The Spanish giants and their commercial partner will then select their winners, who will receive special prizes.

They will then come on stage in the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
