Tottenham -legend Graham Roberts has beaten to Cristian Romero because he is more committed to his country than his club.
Spurs' Vice-captain Romero has not been playing in the Premier League for 90 minutes since 10 November, after struggling with toe and quad injuries.
The Argentina star, 26, was picked up with the Goalless score in the 68th minute in Fulham in the last match prior to the international break -before Spurs then lost 2-0.
Nevertheless, Romero completed both games for his nation against Uruguay and Brazil in the next ten days, making some Spurs fans and colleague Hardman Roberts Irked.
The 65-year-old, who won back-to-back FA-Bekers in the early 80s with Tottenham, said Mr. Vegas Casino: “I just can't get that we played him for 60 minutes and then he will play two sets of 90 minutes. I just can't understand that.
“I am not happy because the club took care of him and has taken care of Ange (Postecoglou).
“If you are fit and the game starts, play the entire game (against Fulham).
“I know that we also took care of Micky van de Ven, but he did not leave (in international duty). He was sitting on the couch against Fulham, he didn't play.
“I am disappointed in him. If he had disappeared and played for 60 minutes in every game, it is different. But to play for 90 minutes …
“The club pays his wages and takes care of him. It was a big disappointment.”

Romero has had to deal with accusations of prioritizing his country over his club for a large part of his time at Spurs.
But when he was challenged two years ago by Sunsport during the preseason in Australia in Australia, the Center-Back refuted the claims as robust as one of his thoroughly bloody tackles.
Romero then said: “I think the people who say this clearly don't know me, because I have been contracted to the club for many (more) years. I always try to do my best.
“If I didn't feel the same passion (for traces as for Argentina), I would like to look to leave the club.”
A Romero exit from Spurs looks a possibility this summer with fellow countryman Diego Simeone who wants to take him to Atletico Madrid.
Roberts would be stripped to see the All -Action defender leave while he is one of the best of the Prem -and warned potential lovers that the £ 42.5 million prisoner would cost a considerable cent.
The former Chelsea and Rangers -star told Sunsport via Mr. Vegas Online Casino: “I would say that he and Virgil van Dijk are the two best defenders in the country at the moment.
“But he is too wounded too much. Micky Van de Ven is too wounded. I don't know if we play a high game and their muscles are not nearby.
“But it comes down to him there with Van Dijk. He has proven it, he is a world cup winner.
“I always said that the badge on the front of the shirt is worth more than someone's name on the back of the shirt.
“If he doesn't want to be there, that's his privilege, but you can't just walk away. You have to buy someone and he will not be cheap.
“There are players who could replace him). I am sure that the recruitment department is well aware of that situation.
'Simeone likes him because he is Argentinian. If your head is turned around, you leave.
“(But) we will see. If we win the Europa League and we are in the Champions League, things change.”
