Ex-Chelsea Striker Loic Remy has said that he has no trouble choosing the blues above Arsenal.
Remy made the switch from Queens Park Rangers to Chelsea in 2014 and signed a £ 10.5 million deal. During his two -year -old Stint at Stamford Bridge, he achieved the Premier League and League Cup under the supervision of Jose Mourinho.
After he has made a name for himself in France with Stints in Nice and Marseille, Remy moved via QPR to the Premier League. A successful loan in Newcastle then caught the attention of some of the top clubs in England.
Despite the interest of Arsenal, known Remy to Plejmo that his heart took place on West London. “I could have pushed to become a member of Arsenal about Chelsea, but I am zero,” he said.
“It is one of the best decisions I made in my career. It was a natural choice to personally perform at Newcastle after a very good season, Chelsea came in and only on the last day of the transfer star my agent learned about Arsenal's interest.”
Remy clocked 47 performances and 12 goals for Chelsea, which go to Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday (1.30 pm). Although he won the main prize, the 38-year-old has a slight regret, according to football London.
“I didn't regret it after I went to Chelsea and won the Premier League, my only regret is that I didn't play as much as I would have wanted,” he said. “Apart from that, it was a time alongside fantastic players and I will remember it forever.”
Although Remy might have put on the Arsenal -Kit, he was actually about to have a Liverpool movement before putting the pen on paper with Chelsea.
However, after Liverpool had caused a release clause with QPR, it turned out that Remy did not pass on his medical in Anfield, so that the road was cleared for his transfer to Stamford Bridge. “I didn't know what was wrong, but they said I just had to wait a few days,” Remy said earlier this year.
“At the moment I was a Liverpool player, because I had done the interviews, and I still have a picture of myself on my phone, with their scarf. It was a very proud moment for me, but two days later I found out that there was a problem with my medical, and the deal was switched off.”
Nevertheless, Remy remains an avid follower of the blues and he has confidently claimed that the Enzo Maresca team will win the UEFA Conference League title this season.
Chelsea assured their place in the quarterfinals of the competition on Thursday evening when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall yielded a second half of decider to create 1-0 from FC Copenhagen on the evening, culminating in a 3-1 win over total.
“They have strong players on the couch and a lot of quality when it comes to scoring goals,” said Remy. “I think Chelsea will win the Conference League and get in the top four. They have a big chance to win the trophy and I don't see why they won't do that.”
After his departure from Chelsea, Remy Stints had Crystal Palace, Las Palmas, Getafe, Lille and Turkish teams çaykur Rijspor and Adana Demirspor. He hung up his boots after a final season at home with Brest in 2023.
