Son Heung-Min insists that he will “be ready” for Wednesday's Europa League final, after his first start in a month during the defeat of Tottenham by Aston Villa.
Spurs suffered from their record-similar 25th loss of the season in all competitions with their count of 1991-92-nadat, they had fallen 2-0 in Villa Park.
On a better note, Son returned to the starting line-up for the first time since their Europa League quarterfinals first stage against Eintracht Frankfurt on 10 April.
The skipper, who returned last weekend as a replacement against Crystal Palace, received 74 minutes under his belt to build fitness prior to the collision of Tottenham with Manchester United in the Europa League pronouncing piece.
“I feel good and ready to go,” he told Spursplay. “It was really good to get playing time in my legs. I'm ready for Wednesday.
“It was very difficult to look at and not be involved with the boys. The boys did fantastic [against Eintracht Frankfurt and Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League quarter-finals and semi-finals].

“I was very happy to see them celebrate, what they deserve. The job is not finished. I believe we can do this. We need everyone together with one goal.”
“It was important tonight, and he feels like he's coming back to some rhythm,” head coach Ange Postecoglou told Sky Sports. “It gives him a good opportunity to be at his best in the final.”
The victory in the Europa League would offer a remarkable salvation to a scorching campaign, which sees Spurs occupy 17th place in the Premier League with one more match.
Spurs has now lost eight of their last 11 league games, after he had registered in Villa Park in 90 minutes in just one shot on Target.
“I came up with until they scored, the boys worked hard, they were really disciplined and organized,” Postecoglou added.
“We didn't let them make too many openings. We also had our moments that went in the future, but once they scored, we lost a little faith.
“Many of those guys didn't play much. We looked like we were tired, and then the game just got away from us.”
