‘I will make things clear’ – Cristiano Ronaldo reveals how he would fix ‘sick’ Man Utd as new OWNER

CRISTIANO RONALDO has claimed he could fix Manchester United if he became the club's owner.

The former Red Devil ended his second spell at Old Trafford on acrimonious terms after a tell-all interview with Piers Morgan.

He criticized the Glazers for not caring about the club and pointed out several areas that needed improvement, stating that in the twelve years between the end of his first stint and his return, the club stagnated off the field.

United have failed to improve since Ronaldo left for Al-Nassr in January 2023, and have since sacked Erik ten Hag.

And while boss Ruben Amorim has failed to improve the side with four defeats in 10 games, Ronaldo believes he cannot be blamed as the club's problems run deeper than which manager is in charge.

Ronaldo appeared at the Dubai Global Soccer Awards, where he revealed how he would improve United if he owned it.

He said:[The] The Premier League is the toughest competition in the world.

“All teams are good, all teams fight, all teams run, all teams are strong. Football is different now. There are no easy games anymore.

“They need it, I said this a year and a half ago and I'll keep saying it: the problem isn't with the coaches, it's like… I always give this example… it's like an aquarium.

“If you get the fish in and it's sick and you take it out and you fix the problem and you put it back in an aquarium, you're going to get sick again.

“The problem of Manchester United is the same. The problem is not always with the coach. It is much more than that.”

“If I become the owner of the club, I will make things clear and change things that are bad there.”

Ronaldo not only praised the Prem, but also doubled down on his criticism of the French league.

He added: “The Saudi League is of course better than Ligue 1. France only has PSG. The rest is done.”

“Try sprinting in 38, 39, 40 degree weather and see…

“It is difficult to become champions in Saudi Arabia. This year Al-Hilal are better, Al-Ittihad are at the top, but I think we have to push hard to become champions.

“I have been champions everywhere I have played and I believe I will be champions, but I won this trophy because I scored so many goals and assists and maintained my level.”
