In the latest episode of the mails 'It's all kicking!' Podcast, Ian Ladyman called a surprising Wolves player in his team of the season, and it was not Mercurial Forward Matheus Cunha.
Wolves have been inconsistent. Under Gary O'Neil, the party probably seemed candidates for relegation, but underwent a revival in the middle season after his resignation in January.
New manager VÃtor Pereira managed to remove the Midlands side from the edge, with wolves that were now in a comfortable 13th, above Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
This change in shape was led by Creative Dynamo Cunha and a moisture of a rather leaking defense.
The football editor of the mail has credited Algerian left back Rayan Ait-Nouri for the defensive transformation on the side and called the 23-year-old in his team of the season.
Ladyman told Co-host Chris Sutton: 'Ait-Nouri is a great player and has played an excellent role in the revival of Wolves under VÃtor Pereira.
'He played 34 times this season in the Premier League. Apparently wolves think of a new contract because there is interest from elsewhere – he has had a very, very impressive season. '
The left back of the wolves has registered a healthy success rate of 63 percent and contributed in the future, scored four goals and helped seven.
He is linked to a summer movement to title winners Liverpool, where Wolves is said to place a price tag of £ 50 million on the head of their star defender.
Ladyman explained that although wolves sometimes struggled, when it comes to naming a team of the season, a player in a less consistent side should get larger compliments, because the chance of success is stacked against them.
“You have to consider those who play players and compare that with how well they played,” said the mail -columnist.
'Otherwise you would just choose a full Liverpool four. You have to look at the entire season of Wolves and say, he is a great left back. '
Virgil van Dijk from Liverpool, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Nikola Milenkovic from Nottingham Forest made the rest of Ladyman's back four of the year.
Sutton also had Virgil van Dijk in his defense of the season, with Forest's Ola Aina and Murillo, as well as Arsenal's Miles Lewis-Skelly who filled the rest of the defense.
The former player who became Pundit said that the young Lewis-Skelly 'Head and Shoulders' had been the rear any other left.
“Don't you think VÃtor Pereira Lewis-Skelly would choose above Ait-Nouri?” Sutton asked his fellow guest.
“Wolves gave more than 60 goals this season, and Ait-Nouri was part of it and you called him in your team of the season?”
