UFC Welterweight Competent Ian Machado Garry did not stop the new title holder of his division.
Jack della Maddalena finished his undefeated run in the UFC atachthoek with an amazing performance against Belal Muhammad on UFC 315. In a 'fight of the year' candidate, Maddalena Mohammed postponed by a unanimous decision to win the champion and win the good weight belt.
Maddalena will probably be confronted later this year with UFC light weight champion Islam Makhachev. Makhachev will leave the lightweight belt on UFC 317 while Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira a stacked map for the title Koppen.
Although it was the UFC 315 -back -up, Ian Machado Garry was an important presence during the Vechtweek. He shared some warm moments with Maddalena and Muhammad prior to the event, alongside his son, but things took a turn in the aftermath of UFC 315.

After Garry's son Maddalena gave some candy during the UFC 315 Media Day, Maddalena did not go to the gesture. He continued to question Garry's motives and whether his son was his own or not.
It was a remarkable remark of the mostly quiet Maddalena, and Garry did not take it friendly.
During an interview on the Ariel Helwani show, Garry responded to Maddalena.
“It was a playful joke about a child who gave a hunter M&MS, with the baseline comedy of 'Take This, Miss Weight, My Daddy will intervene and win the world title'. That's just a smile,” Garry said.
“And then go out and say the comments he said, it's just immature, and it shows that he is very sensitive, because when he says something like that, what … That is out of his character. It means that what I did irritated enough to make him say something like that in Fight Week.
“Which means that if I fight him, I will open a whole can of irritation, because I think he is mentally weak and I can step in his head.”
The tensions between Maddalena and Garry hit a highlight when Maddalena's old coach tends Garry to mock the distance in his fighting. Garry defeated Carlos Prates in UFC Kansas City last month after he fell to Shavkat Rakhmonov for his defeat of the first career at UFC 310.

While Maddalena is preparing for a likely confrontation with Makhachev, Bashed a UFC legend Makhachev for leaving the lightweight belt and moving to 170 pounds. Chael Sonnen labeled the rejection of Makhachev on a fight with Topuria as an act of cowardice.
Makhachev for the last time defended the lightweight belt against Renato Moicano on UFC 311. He was supposed to get Arman Tsarukyan in the main event before Tsarukyan took off hours of termination due to a back injury.
Makhachev vs. Maddalena could flourish in October for the Pay-per-View-return from the UFC to Abu Dhabi.
