Ian Machado Garry believes that the former versions of Islam Makhachev can be a major problem for his potential title fight against Jack della Maddalena.
After Jack della Maddalena successfully dethroned Muhammad on UFC 315, he was immediately called by Islam Makhachev, who patiently waited for a potentially welterweight title fight.
Not long afterwards, UFC Baas, Dana White, that Makhachev left his lightweight title in the pursuit of a title fight against Jack della Maddalena.

Ian Machado Garry emphasizes the earlier versions of Makhacheve as a problem prior to title fight
With Makhachev, almost confirmed as the first title defense of Della Maddalena, he has already been advised to work on his Takedowns by his old teammate, Daniel Cormier.
It is thought that the Australian champion has a striking advantage in the matchup, not only because of its dominant boxing, but because of his size benefit.
And Machado Garry has emphasized the earlier versions of Makhachev against Alexander Volkanovski and Dustin Poirier as a major problem that comes in his potential title fight against the Welterweight champion.
“The size is important and when you give up an extra 15 pound to go on a division-yes, Islam Makhachev is great and yes, Islam is strong, and we know that he is running more than 155 pounds. We know that he is probably walking around on 180-190 pounds,” Machado Garry Dekmachines began to tell.
“But Jack is just a bigger person, and I look at (Makhachev's) fighting against Alexander Volkanovski and Dustin Poirier, and I see those fights, yes, Islam looked great, and Islam did what he had to do. But Jack is a bigger man. He gets harder.
Machado Garry gives a comment on Potential Dagestan vs Ireland Matchup
One of the greatest rivalry in the UFC history took place between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov in what was marketed as Dagestan vs Ireland.
With the 27-year-old who has viewed a fight against the winner of the potential welterweight title fight, he explained that he would not be completely linked to McGregor vs Khabib.
“If people want to put it on the market as Dagestan versus Ireland if I and Islam Makhachev ever cross paths, then they can. But I feel that two people like Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov who had and did and said, things they said,” he said.
Before that potential fight can happen, Makhachev must complete the enormous achievement to beat Della Maddalena in their likely fight later this year.
