Former Arsenal Ian Wright has given a clear opinion in the debate about Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko after the Gunners chose to sign the first this summer while Manchester United Sesko signed
Ian Wright thinks that Viktor Gyokeres will be at a different level for Benjamin Sesko in the Premier League this season. The former Arsenal striker hit back on double standards of Gary Neville about what would be a positive season for the latest attackers in the division.
The Gunners were on the market for both players before they chose to sign Gyokeres in a deal with a value of almost £ 64 million. The Swede arrives from Sporting CP after the average of more than a goal per match last season.
In the meantime, despite Newcastle United, Sesko finally chose to join Manchester United in a deal with a value of a maximum of £ 74 million. Both goal scorers could appear when the two historic rivals meet in their opening fixture.
But the former Captain of Manchester United Gary Neville caught Wright's anger in determining goals for the new front line of the Red Devils. The owner of Salford City wants to see Sesko, together with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, to combine to reach 35 goals, the Slovenia International could be satisfied with ten.
Wright was unbelieving in Neville's suggestion after the expert had ignored the same figure as enough for Gyokees. “You look at Sesko and he scored 13 goals in 38 games in the German League (SIC), Marmoush left in December (January 23) and had 15,” Wright said on the overlap.
“That says to me as a striker that he should score more at that level, so you come to United … I think gyökeres … he has such great ability and physical, I think he will be one [level]. He gets 15 [goals].
“But that is a concern, 13 for an entire season, that would be a concern for me … What if he [Sesko] Got 10 goals [in the Premier League ]? What if he got 10? Because you just got your nose to me when I mentioned Gyökkeres and 10 [goals]And now you think of Å eÅ¡ko and 10 [goals]. “
'I don't care [that Gyökeres is further in his career]”He added.” It is Man United and you have to expect it … Do I hear this, right?! Why can't I have it? [10 goals] For Gyökeres? When I said 10, you turned your nose up as if I smelled shit. '
Sesko's agent Recently gave his interpretation of why a move to Arsenal did not come out, even though the Gunners made the early progress for a transfer. “It's hard to say exactly,” said Elvis Basanovic.
“If a deal does not go through, there are always several factors. Ultimately, everything has to coordinate to make it happen.
“What is important here is that Benjamin's wish has always been united for years. And for United he was even willing to take a wage reduction to make the switch happen. If his agent wanted to make that wish come true.”
