Marcus Rashford has a big decision to make this summer, whereby Boyhood Club Manchester United likes to sell him permanently after a promising loan saying with Aston Villa
Newcastle United would be the best destination for Marcus Rashford this summer, according to Ian Wright. Rashford has enjoyed himself since he was on loan at Aston Villa in January of Manchester United and a permanent move to Birmingham seems the most likely option as soon as the summer transfer window is opened.
The England attacker has four goals and six assists in 17 performances for Villa and seems like a good fit for the Unai Emery team. He has earned the confidence of the villa manager and played for Ollie Watkins against Paris Saint-Germain in their quarterfinals of the Champions League.
Villa has an option of £ 40 million to buy Rashford at the end of the loan agreement and United wants to cash in because they turn off a busy summer window. Rashford's contract in his boy's club runs until June 2028, but Ruben Amorim has made it clear that he does not want him, which means that a decision must be made as soon as the window is opened on 1 June.
Mirror Football understands that Rashford does not permanently want to become a member at Villa and has excluded a club in London. He wants to participate in the Champions League next season and Wright has therefore devised a suggestion of the Left Field that could match the assignment.
“It is the type of signing Newcastle,” Wright said on his Ringer FC -Podcast. “That would be great. That would be dangerous. Rashford in Newcastle? Yes. That would be really good. I really like that for Rashford. Rashford in Newcastle can be dangerous.”
Newcastle is currently in fifth place in the Premier League and in line to qualify for the Champions League, with an extra place awarded to the UEFA division this season. They are two points ahead of Chelsea and Villa with five more games to play.
If he joined Eddie Howe's side, Rashford would compete with Harvey Barnes and Anthony Gordon for a place to the left of their 4-3-3 formation. However, Rashford is entirely focused on playing for Villa for the time being and is not going to tackle his future until the end of the season.
Did you say! Where should Marcus Rashford move this summer? Respond below.
He would be open to move abroad, with Spain of particular importance. Yet his wage could be a problem, since he is currently paid around £ 325,000 a week by United. But in December after being frozen by Amorim, the 27-year-old explained how he wants to leave United when the time comes.
“For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps,” said Rashford. “If I go away, it will be 'no hard feelings'. You will not have any negative comments about Manchester United. That is as a person.
“If I know that a situation is already bad, I will not make it worse. I have seen how other players have left in the past and I don't want to be that person. If I leave, I will make a statement and it will be mine.”
