Ilia Topuria explains key advantage he holds over Charles Oliveira ahead of UFC 317 title fight

Before Ilia Topuria was booked to fight Charles Oliveira, the Spaniard described the most important difference between him and the former lightweight champion.

Last Tuesday, UFC boss Dana White made a huge announcement when he revealed that Islam Makhachev left the lightweight title when pursuing a welterweight title fight against Jack della Maddalena.

And with that White announced that Ilia Topuria Charles Oliveira will record for the empty title in the Main Event of UFC 317 to end the International Vechtweek.

Not long after the announcement, Topuria broke his silence and Makhachev of 'running away' of a super fight against him broke.

Ilia Topuria mocked the record of Charles Oliveira months before UFC 317 Fight Booking

Topuria and Oliveira have now exchanged words online for a few months, because Makhachev has made it clear that he did not want to fight against 'El Matador'.

Topuria continued with Slam 'Do Bronx', raised his record and raised the fact that he has losing against Cub Swanson.

While conversations continued to come forward with a fight between 'El Matador' and Oliveira, Topuria explained the enormous important difference between him and the Brazilian.

“Charles Oliveira – this is what I told you before, if you have 10 losses on your file, that's not one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, that is 10. When you come in (to a fight) with a man with 10 losses that has 10 losses, Topuria from Joe Rogan explained during an episode of his Podcast.

“It is completely different than when you enter (against a fight) with a man who is unbeaten. He is a dangerous guy … He is a dangerous guy, he has never tasted a loss, that is another mentality, you have to kill him to give him up.

“In the case of Charles, when he finds some adversity, he goes to the ground and he sits down and he will wait until the referee ends the fight,” Topuria continued.

Joe Rogan warned Topuria about Oliveira's danger

Despite the trust of the Spaniard that he has a different mentality than Oliveira because of his undefeated record, Rogan tried to warn him of the danger of the 'long' Brazilian.

Although Oliveira suffered 10 losses during his career, he has one of the most inspiring stories in sport after he climbed from the bottom after he was about to be released from the UFC.

And with a victory over Topuria, the 36-year-old could be the first hunter in the UFC history who won the lightweight title twice.
