
Ilia Topuria had absolutely thrown his new nickname away by the old rival Paddy Pimblett.
'El Matador' The UFC champion Vederweight is no longer. After his recent decision to change the division, Ilia Topuria gave distance from his title and his nickname.
Looking for a new legacy on 155 pounds after eliminating Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway, Topuria announced last month that he is now going through 'La Leyenda', which translates into 'The Legend' in Spanish.
Thought they are premature for some, not everyone has been on board the decisions of Topuria lately.

Paddy Pimblett lands at a new nickname for Ilia Topuria
Owner of the most recognizable names in MMA, Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett has had a few heated run-ins over the years with Ilia Topuria and called him 'Hand Sanitizer Boy' when he held him with a bottle in a hotel change in 2022.
Later that year at the UFC 282 press conference, Pimblett Topuria mentioned a little 'chorizo' that translates into 'sausage' in Spanish.
“That is what he should have changed his name,” Pimblett said about Topuria on the entire podcast.
“He has changed his nickname in as *** nickname, isn't it? Like legend or something.
“Should it have changed to 'El Chorizo' …
“I thought it would be good for you,” Pimblett added.

Pimblett and Topuria have been going on for years now, their rivalry this year at UFC London when Pimblett de Spaniard offered a fist bump.
The hunters first came to each other's radar in 2021 after Pimblett made offensive comments about Georgians in now deleted tweets. Topuria was not friendly because he was raised in Georgia.
Looking back on his beef with Topuria now:
“We always knew that he was a good hunter,” Pimblett said about the UFC -Fedweight champion.
“That is a kind of what makes me angry about him.
“Although I hate him and I think he is AB ******, I would not lie and say that he is so *** hunter because he is not.
“He called me fat. I said, boy, you can no longer make your weight distribution where you are champions, and you try to call me fat. He is a dwarf. He is small. He is smaller than Michael Chandler.
“Look what I do with Michael Chandler next Saturday evening when I dismantle him. It will be a very similar game plan to beat Ilia,” Pimblett claimed.
Paddy Pimblett takes on former Bellator Lightweight Champion Michael Chandler in the Co-Main event of UFC 314 in Miami.
