Ilia Topuria trolls Max Holloway following his BMF title defence at UFC 318

Max Holloway wrote UFC history on Saturday after he had successfully defended the BMF title.

On Saturday at UFC 318, Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier finally completed their trilogy that spanned more than 13 years when they clashed in the main event for the BMF title.

After five incredible rounds, Holloway let his hand get up and grabbed the decision win, successfully sticking to the BMF band.

After the fight 'The Diamond', his gloves laid in the middle of the Octagon and confirmed his retirement of the sport, while a tribute to Jon Jones and Islam Makhachev came in for the UFC legend.

Ilia Topuria Trolls Max Holloway Na UFC 318 victory

While all the support for Poirier came in after his official retirement, UFC boss Dana White commented on what could be possible for Holloway.

'Blessed' hopeful on a rematch against the recently crowned new lightweight champion, Ilia Topuria, after 'El Matador' had marked his permanent movement up to 155 pounds with a different vicious victory.

It is currently unclear who will fight the Spaniard in his first title defense, while both Justin Gaethje and Arman Tsarukyan wait patiently in line.

And after the victory of Holloway in Louisiana, Topuria took the opportunity to troll the Hawaiian with a position on his social media.

“Still Mine”, Topuria endorsed an image of a replica BMF title.

Prior to their collision at UFC 308 last year when Topuria Holloway struck Cold, he walked around and paraded a replica BMF title. Unfortunately for him, however, the BMF title was not on the line during that fight.

Holloway claims that it 'makes no sense' for Topuria to wear BMF title

Although the BMF title is not generally recognized as a real title due to the vast majority of the UFC fan base, there are a handful of hunters who want to compete for it, Topuria is one of them.

After his victory, Holloway stated that the Spaniard has earned a chance on the belt, but claimed that it makes no sense to walk around with a replica title.

“Certainly (he has earned a shot on it) at the end of the day, when the UFC did not set it up, it is what it is. It just makes no sense what he does, walking around and whatever. Do you have Islam (Makhachev) walking around with a champion of (Alexander) Volkanovski twice? The riem, said.
