Ilia Topuria was brought to tears during gruesome weight cut for first UFC title fight, new footage indicates

Ilia Topuria's struggle to make the limit of featherweight has been documented in his new film 'Matador'.

The undefeated world champion handed over his belt to go to lightweight earlier this month and told Dana White that he found it too difficult to make the cut. Many fans have questioned the excuse and the feeling that he simply believes that there are larger fights such as Islam Makhachev a division.

After having won and defending the belt of the legendary Alexander Volkanovski against another all time in Max Holloway, the login details of Topuria on £ 145 are indisputable. And in newly released images of his documentary, he seems to prove how difficult the weight was for him.

Ilia Topuria is the subject of a new documentary 'Topuria Matador', which still has to determine a worldwide release date. However, images are leaked on social media via MMA Pros Pick on Instagram with a scene in which he is struggling with the weight -bound for his UFC 298 confrontation with Alexander Volkanovski.

Despite the fact that he had fought as low as bantam weight, he seemed to find it very difficult to hit the championship weight of 145 pounds. The short clip shows that he comes up to 145.4LB, which means that he has to go back to the sauna tent to lose weight.

His team must remind him that he will be physically in order, because Topuria cuts off his last piece and allows him to suck on a lollipop. “My heart racet,” he says at one point, before being reassured by his trainers.

His brother then asks twice: “What happens?” Before he tells his brother: “These are tears of happiness and gratitude for all hard work and God's help.” Topuria then walks out of the room after having the weight, but must be stopped by a coach.

Topurias days of making the brutal cut to featherweight, however, are now over because it has officially moved to lightweight. He gave distance from the belt of 145 pounds and leaves Volkanovski Diego Lopes opposite the empty belt on UFC 314.

He is now haunting Islam Makhachev, although it is still to be seen whether he should first fight a competition at Lightweight. Dana White told the media this week that Topuria said: 'I did everything I can do here, I am ready to go upstairs' and he has left [the belt].

“He said,” I shouldn't stop someone's chances. ” I respect that he felt that he had done everything he defeated.
