Last Saturday at UFC Macau, Ming Shi became the Road to the UFC champion after scoring a viral KO over Xiaocan Feng in the third round of their tournament final.
The promotion landed in Macau, China for the first time in 10 years last Saturday with a big bantamweight main event between Petr Yan and Deiveson Figueiredo.
Despite the successful 135-pound main event, Road to the UFC tournament winner Ming Shi was the biggest star to emerge from the event.

Ming Shi scores a Knockout of the Year candidate at UFC Macau
The 30-year-old scored one of the best KOs of the year, knocking Xiaocan Feng unconscious in the third round of their final.
Terrifyingly, Feng did not get up as the doctors gathered around her to wake her from unconsciousness. Unfortunately, a stretcher was brought into the Octagon and she was taken out with a brace around her neck.
Ming was two rounds behind on two of the judges' scorecards heading into the final round, with her incredible head kick being likened to a 'Rocky' story.
“I feel very happy, but I am actually worried about my opponent. I really hope she's doing well, she's young and – sorry… That's what happened in the semi-finals, I had many chances to knock out my opponent, but I think I have too much grace” , she told Michael Bisping in her Octagon interview.
The UFC then awarded Ming Shi a Performance of the Night bonus, meaning she earned an additional $50,000 for her incredible come-from-behind KO victory.
Ming Shi reveals that she is a full-time doctor and keeps her MMA career a secret
After the viral KO, Ming Shi revealed that she has another career outside of fighting, and that her parents actually don't know that she is a fighter and now fights in the Sports Premier promotion.
'The Doctor' is an extremely fitting fighting nickname for Shi, who serves as a full-time doctor outside of her fighting career.
Shi admitted after her fight in an interview with UFC News that her fans are concerned about her because she is only 5'2 and her other “shortcomings.”
“A lot of fans in the Octagon are worried about me because I'm small in the division. I have bad eyesight and don't have enough testosterone, but in this Octagon I am the boss and I will decide how the match will go and how the fight will be,” Shi said.
“In this Octagon, I am the boss.”

Fortunately for the 30-year-old, UFC CEO Dana White recently teased that he could open a female atomweight division that would suit Ming, who has previously fought at 105 pounds.
