Jonathan David, who was identified as the replacement of Harry Kane in Tottenham Hotspur before the captain of England left for Bayern Munich, is available on a free transfer this summer
Tottenham was able to split a player who was once considered Harry Kane's first choice successor as a free agent this summer. Since Kane's large switch to Bayern Munich two years ago, spurs are looking for someone to get into his boots.
If they had responded to the Council of ex-manager Antonio Conte, they might be splashed at Jonathan David, the Lille target machine. Conte and former sports director Fabio Paraticians were reportedly great fans of David for their Spurs expiration in the early 2023.
After the exit of Kane that summer, you talk about a £ 55 million for the Canadian striker who never came out. After he had been on the radar of various English clubs, Davids could finally be relocated to the Premier League after he had confirmed his departure from Lille at the end of his contract this summer.
He recently announced on social media: “Every story has a start and an end. I wanted to tell you that after many years at the club it is time to say goodbye.”
The 25-year-old leaves an impressive count of 109 goals in 231 games for Lille, who only cuts this term 25 in 49 games. His talents have not gone unnoticed, with Manchester United, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Barcelona and Real Madrid all allegedly the productive attacker.
Traces are reportedly good in the mix for David's signature, with Villa, Juventus and Conte's Napoli also in conversations, according to French media. L'Equipe has also called an “exotic club” that has laid a “Golden Bridge” for the player.
The interest of Newcastle seems to decrease, chroniclelief reports, despite Davids agent, Nick Mavromaras, who will be seen in March during a Magpies match. The winners of the Carabao Cup would set their sights on alternative goals, while David regards his future.
Although protecting David's services does not entail transfer costs, clubs must be for its hefty salary, registration bonus and the costs of the agent, so that the initial edition can push after the £ 10 million.
Although it would be no surprise to see David in the Premier League, he previously pronounced a preference for La Liga and he told the It's Call Soccer Podcast earlier this year: “I think I can adapt to any competition.
“Every competition has its differences. The Premier League is a lot faster and more physically than all the other competitions. But for me I grew up watching a lot of La Liga and for me that would be my favorite competition. That is the competition that I liked to watch the most, so one day I would like to play there.”
