‘I’m wanted by Arsenal and Man Utd after Chelsea U-turn – this is what will turn my head’

Arsenal and Manchester United are targeting Randal Kolo Muani and have already told them on the dotted line what he wants to sign.

The 26-year-old Paris Saint-Germain forward has been linked with both clubs, as well as Premier League rivals Chelsea, ahead of the January transfer window. The France international has struggled since joining PSG from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023 for £64.2 million.

Kolo Muani has struggled to secure a regular starting role under Luis Enrique this season after failing to find any form even with the sale of Kylian Mbappe.

Enrique's response to a question about the striker's situation last month was particularly telling as he said: “I could talk about it, but I won't because my decisions say everything, even though, as I said, all my decisions are changed.” .”

But PSG's loss could be an English club's gain, with reports this week claiming he could be offered to the likes of Arsenal and United in January. It won't take much for Mikel Arteta or Ruben Amorim to persuade a frustrated Kolo Muani to join based on comments made in June 2023, prior to his transfer to PSG, where he admitted it was his 'dream' to play in to play England.

“It's flattering that PSG is interested in you, like all the other big clubs,” he told Canal Football Club. “It's not just because you come from the Paris region and grow up there that you automatically have to play for PSG.

“Honestly, who doesn't dream of playing in the Premier League? It's one of the best leagues there is. You dream about it. These are children's dreams.”

“But I'm not looking for the perfect club or the best club in the world. “I'm really looking for the club that will give me the opportunity to express myself, earn playing time and, most importantly, allow me to grow.”

Arsenal were not initially expected to sign a wide player in January, but the Gunners are in need of attackers after losing both talisman Bukayo Saka and his replacement Raheem Sterling to injury, with the former set to be sidelined for months.

United are also reportedly keeping tabs on Kolo Muani as Amorim prepares for his first transfer window as the incumbent Red Devils boss. Despite making just two appearances in Ligue 1 and the Champions League this season, Chelsea were also said to be keen on Kolo Muani last week.

However, a report from L'Equipe via Get French Football News has denied the Blues' interest, citing sources close to the deal. Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, AS Monaco, RB Leipzig, Juventus, Galatasaray and AC Milan have also been linked with the Frenchman.
