Alex Pereira's newest Vechtkamp has been unconventional to say the least.
The light heavyweight king will defend his belt against Magomed Ankalaev in the UFC 313 Main Event.
The Russian competition is perhaps his toughest opponent so far, but Alex Pereira has not prevented that from traveling the world prior to their fight in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday evening.
Here is everything you need to know about 'Poatan' and his preparation for the fight that he could see a title defense record of Jon Jones breaking.

Sean Strickland has been an important point of discussion with those stinging holes in the UFC 313 camp of Pereira.
The controversial middleweight got his nose when he lost an 185 pound title Rematch with Dricus du Plessis on UFC 312, which took place in the Qdos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia on 12 February.
Pereira saved a friendship with Strickland after he broke a brutal in July 2022 on UFC 276.
Yet people were surprised that he traveled down to be part of the crazy American corner team less than a month before his own fight – but Pereira has since revealed that he was planned in Australia for other obligations anyway.
The right training partners were not easy to find during his journey. At one point Pereira was noticed with Diego Lopes, who will fight Alexander Volkanovski in April in April for the featherweight title on UFC 314.
Pereira stayed in Australia long after UFC 312 was completed and was filmed with Drake.
The rapper is known for losing large money bets on MMA fights and is generally considered a Jinx.
When he finally returned to his base in Danbury, Connecticut, the unconventional camp of Pereira continued.
The 37-year-old shared images of him struggling with his coach, Glover Teixeira, in the snow last week.
Daniel Cormier is worried about Alex Pereira
Former UFC champion Dual-Weight Daniel Cormier does not like what he sees from the Pereira camp.
During an episode of his Show Good Guy/Bad Guy with Chael Sonnen last month, the popular commentator explained the most to him for UFC 313.
'Ankalaev is already [in Las Vegas]He is locked up, I met him to the UFC Pi last week, “said Cormier. “To be honest, he is so locked up, ready to win this fight against Alex Pereira, who was in Australia last week, shaking the hand of Drake while he went on stage for his concert.
“What does Pereira still do in Australia? He is fighting in two weeks! I am back from Australia and the entire last week I got up at three in the morning. I don't care that Pereira has weeks to get ready, he will be ready and will be prepared.
“But even those two to three extra days when he adjusts his clock to get back on schedule in Connecticut … he will be confronted with all those trips and all that difference in time. And where is Glover [Teixeira]? Is Glover just in Australia with him? Is it only he and plinio [Cruz]?
“Glover is the man, to be honest, that should do most of the work with Alex at the moment because of [Ankalaev’s] Struggling … Pereira should get home better, he has to come home and lock because he has the most difficult fight of his title government. “
Pereira hit back at Cormier and everyone who interviewed him in an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow.
“I can say to Daniel Cormier and a couple of other specialists who say that I should not have go outside that I have been in this situation earlier. It was actually even worse when I was in Australia and had registered to fight, but didn't even know I was going to do that.
“This time it was all very planned, I knew what I was going to do. I actually took my whole team down there, I had eight people in Australia with me and we knew exactly what to do, so we all planned it very well.
“Many people talk about traveling and all traveling, maybe it's not the ideal situation. But I feel that I really experience with that and I have done this a million times to be honest. “
