They are Rooney and Ronaldo 2.0 – a decent chip, flick or shots from the old block.
Providing nature is just as strong as upbringing in football, both Kai Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo Junior have emerged as real young football talents.
So could the boys renew the old international rivalry that their fathers encountered in the famous Winkergate World Cup drama?
Their sons have gone a way to prove that they need what is needed to achieve the pinnacle of football.
On Tuesday, Ronaldo JNR-in the youth team with the Saudi-Arab side of his father Al-Nassr was called for Portugal's Under-15 Ploeg.
His chuffed dad posted on Instagram: “Proud of you, son!”
In the meantime, Kai scored the extra-time winner for Manchester United Under-15s against Manchester City in a Premier League Cup competition last week.
Papa Wayne wrote on social media: “Proud of @kairooney.10. Great comeback from his team last night and an extra-time winner always special. Keep working hard, son.”
It came after Kai recently scored a brilliant solo goal for United's Under-17s against the Real Sociedad of Spain-by-all that it was only 15.
Both Footie Star fathers clearly feel that the swelling of emotion affects parents in Great -Britain while they go to muddy, windy fields to encourage their descendants.
So will these clearly talented boys come from the gigantic shadows thrown through their footie Legend Fathers?
Fans who sang “There is only one Cristiano Ronaldo” had to change their song when the five-time Champions League winner called his firstborn after himself.
Ronaldo JNR, 14, is a mini-me-lookalike of his old man, complete with babbling Sixpack.
His former Madrid -Star Vwader was born of an American woman in 2010 and has never confirmed who the mother is.
At the time, he placed X: “It is with great joy and emotion that I ask that I recently became a father for a baby boy.
“As agrees with the baby's mother, who preferred to keep her identity confidential, my son will be under my exclusive custody.”
'Worst feeling'
Ronaldo SNR would add later: “Some points in life are private and people have to respect the privacy.
“When Cristiano grows up, I will always say the truth to him because he deserves it because he is my son.”
Junior soon started his own football career when his father played at some of the biggest clubs in worldwide football.
And, just like smart fathers in Great Britain, Ronaldo SNR cannot help but show his son how it was done.
On his YouTube channel last year he posted a video with the name Cris v Cris with both trying to curl a free kick around a wall and in the goal with the belt line: “Who did better?”
CR7, as Papa is nicknamed, may be perhaps the greatest of all time of football, but on this occasion the efforts of his son looked more stylish.
Although he turned 40 in February, Ronaldo SNR recently admitted that he would like to play in a professional match alongside his son.
“I would like it,” he said. “It's not something that keeps me awake at night, but we'll see.”
Regarding his boy's football career, he said: “He will follow his path, his career. I will be a proud father – I will be proud of what he wants to do.
“If he plays, then 'top'. If he doesn't play, we've tried it. But it will not be a problem, in my opinion.”
Known as Cristianinho – which means little Cristiano – his son was in the youth team in the Italian Juventus.
When his father returned in 2021 for a second spell at Manchester United, the young person joined the Old Trafford Youth Academy.
Playing with him in the Onder-12s was a competent boy named Kai Wayne Rooney-Born in November 2009.
The couple made the headlines when both scored against the young people of West Bromwich Albion in 2022.
For United fans it remembered the golden years of the Red Devils when the names Rooney and Ronaldo were often on the score sheet.
Their fathers landed a Champions League and three Premier League titles while both were in the club.
But in 2006 it broke out in the middle of their fertile partnership. Rooney's England was confronted with Ronaldo's Portugal in the Wereldbekerkwartierfinal in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
At 61 minutes with the score on 0-0-strict Rooney with Ricardo Carvalho before he stamped on the then Chelsea defender.
Ronaldo rushed in to protest with referee Horacio Elizondo.
Rooney pushed his clubmate away, but the spirit of the referee was made up and a red card was flourished.
Ronaldo responded with a theatrical wink on the Portuguese bank.
Rooney was left to stew in the dressing room, while the ten-man England side was later eliminated on penalties.
Now 39, the former Everton -star called the 'worst feeling' he had experienced in football.
The couple resolved things in the tunnel after the game and resumed their productive united partnership.
When, with Ronaldo back at United, the relationship was again soured.
Rooney, fired as Plymouth Argyle manager in December 2024, criticized his old teammate's attitude after CR7 refused to come as a replacement during a competition.
Ronaldo broke back in an interview in 2022 with Piers Morgan: “I don't know why he criticizes me so much … probably because he ended his career and I still play at a high level.
“He will be a star”
“I'm not going to say that I look better than he is. That's true.”
When Ronaldo expressed surprise about Rooney's comments after he revealed that his old strike partner had visited him to pick up his children.
CR7 added: “We are here in my house, he picked up his children here and he invited Cristiano (junior) to go to his house to play football.
“I don't understand people like that. Or if they want to be in the news in the news or they want new jobs or whatever.”
So could Ronaldo JNR and Kai lines one day for a Winkergate rematch for Portugal and the Drie Leeuwen Senior teams?
Just like Junior, the eldest son of De Roooneys certainly has early talent.
United fans thought it was great last month when Kai scored against Real Sociedad. He got stuck with a long ball with an agile first touch and surpassed a defender who pulled on his shirt before he ended with his left foot.
A fan wrote on social media: “Plays exactly like his father, with aggressiveness and strength”.
Kai's mother Coleen, 39, has revealed that there are disadvantages to having a famous football player.
She said about I'm a celebrity: “Kai told Wayne that he stopped coming to football matches when he played Grassroots tournaments and so because he used to be cultivated and he couldn't even watch the game.”
And the mother of four opponents revealed Kai had scratched his football father.
Against the stick to the football podcast, Colen explained: “A few years ago I remember that Kai took a penalty in St George's park. He stepped up and just skied it.
“Afterwards I asked him how he could take such a penalty, and he told me he just smelled when the keeper said:” Your father's sh*t, “and he got dead angry.
“It doesn't happen to him often, but it did it then, and you can see in some games where they give you a little push.
“However, he is strong and usually picks it up.”
Last year Kai signed a sponsorship agreement with Puma and later appeared on a poster for the shoe brand next to Dua Lipa and Kyle Walker.
Just like Ronaldo JNR, in addition to undoubtedly, he will have to drive talent and need determination to reach the top.
In reality, both boys were able to reach half as much as their fathers and still to eliminate glorious careers.
Just leave the wink and red fog to your fathers.
