CRISTIANO RONALDO has got into the festive spirit by taking his family to Lapland.
The Portuguese forward, 39, has made perfect use of his winter break by treating his partner and children to an incredible trip.
Ronaldo previously took to Instagram to send a festive message to his 645 million followers.
He posted a photo of himself topless and bent over in front of a snowy backdrop, captioning it: “Merry Christmas, everyone!”
His partner Georgina Rodriguez shared several photos and short video clips from their trip.
Their children Cristiano Jr, 14, Alana Martina, eight, Eva Maria, seven, Mateo, seven, and Bella, two, seemed to love the holiday.
Georgina shared photos of the group in their ski gear.
While she also uploaded a short video of herself skiing.
The children enjoyed hot drinks and marshmallows.
These treats will have been much appreciated given the weather, with Georgina revealing the temperature had been a whopping minus eight degrees.
The group sat around the fire with their snacks.
Ronaldo has been out since scoring in Al-Nassr's 2-1 defeat at Al-Ittihad – a match in which Karim Benzema and Steven Bergwijn scored for the hosts.
He will return to action on January 9 when Al-Nassr host Al Arkhoud in the resumed Saudi Pro League.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner is looking for a thousand goals.
He achieved his 900th in September and is currently at 910.
Last month, Ronaldo admitted he may not be able to reach the next big milestone.
The veteran forward, who turns 40 in February, said: “I'm living in the moment now. I can't think long term anymore.
“I can no longer think about what I said publicly that I wanted to achieve a thousand goals.
“But it seems like everything is easy now, last month I reached 900. It's about living in the moment, enjoying the moment and seeing the reaction my legs will give me in the coming years.
“A thousand goals is nice, but if that doesn't happen, I am already the player in history with the most goals.”
