Inside Postecoglou’s emotional speech to his team as they celebrate semis win

Ange Postecoglou gave an emotional speech to his Tottenham players after they had booked their place in the Europa League final.

In the middle of one of their worst competition campaigns in the modern history of the club, European football served as a consistent delay for traces and Thursday evening turned out to be no different.

After winning a 3-1 victory over home in the first stage of their semi-final collision with Bodo/Glimt last week, the side of Postecoglou to Norway traveled to move in more than three decades within one match.

Only a day after their rivals in North were put their European hope in the hands of PSG, goals from Pedro Porro and Dominic Solanke were enough for Tottenham to continue comfortably to the final later this month.

With his side potentially just 90 minutes away from fulfilling his prophecy of the second season silverware, an emotional postecoglou appealed to the team after the game in the dressing room.

Postecoglou looked ahead to a completely English collision with Manchester United and gave an exciting address to his team, with a video of the speech that is shared on the club's official X account.

“I said before that what you, as a group, players and employees have experienced this year … I have been in this game for a long time, I have experienced very much, I have experienced it all, but I am so proud of how you have just held together,” he said.

'I didn't have the feeling that people don't believe or have lost what we have here, and it's just excellent.

'People will never realize what it has taken for you to be in this position, and there you deserve all the honor for that.

“It's incredible what you did. To come to this place, difficult place, win comfortable, but all the time, all the things we have had to deal with. There are people who are not with us today, who are home again.

'Fraser [Forster] Played a major role, Sonny's played a major role, Madders, Lucas [Bergvall]Radio [Dragusin]They all played a major role.

'Everyone has contributed, and that is the most important thing that has brought us so far. We have certainly had problems, but we have stayed together and you earn it. Now we have two weeks, slightly less than two weeks to prepare.

'Every day is important, every day, every training session, every game we have between now and then it is about to get ready for that big game.

'You can change things, you have seen what you did, 400 supporters here today, they will never forget it. There are thousands at home, you can make something very special out of it.

'I keep saying you, this is the group of players who are going to do it. So concentrate on that now, but you deserve all the honor, it has been excellent. So focus on tomorrow, yes? '
