Davide Frattesi spent extra time to bring Inter to the Champions League final, after a 4-3 second legs at Barcelona in San Siro, and a 7-6 semi-final victory in total.
Just as they did in the first stage last week, Inter took the lead. Dani Olmo was expropriated in midfield and after he had slipped the right side of the right side, Denzel Dumfries came to the recurring Lautaro Martinez, who changed it to the net in the net in the 21st minute.

Inter looked even more comfortable when, seven minutes after the break, Francesco Acerbi Bow to lead Calhanoglu's free kick past Szczesny, but the goal was abolished for offside.
Only two minutes later, Barcelona pulled one back. The first cross of Gerard Martin from the left was blocked, but after recycling, he chose Eric Garcia, who brought his laces through the first time and brought it over the goal in the top left corner.
Garcia was refused for a second by Sommer's Pouncing Save, equal after Szczesny kept Nicolo Barella's tight effort outside on the other end before Barcelona pulled the hour out of the hour.

Yamal then hit the foot of Sommer's left pole, a miss who punished a few moments later. The hosts quickly prevented Dumfries's low cross was fired by Acerbi in the roof of the net in the 93rd minute to ensure that they would play for another 30 minutes.
After looking down and looking down for the majority of the second half, Inter was revived in extra time. Fratteni found a bag of space in the 99th minute and bend a low shot past Szczesny, who remained rooted on the spot.

Data Debrief: Interrest deep
This competition is now the joint highest score semi-final in the history of Champions League, together with Liverpool 7-6 Roma in 2017-18, and it is one that interfans will not soon forget.
Martinez has now scored eight goals during his last seven performances in the competition. He also scored so many goals in the first half when he fits completed (both).
In the meantime, Calhanoglu continued his perfect record of the place. He has scored all six of his Champions League fines, the joint 100% success rate in the history of the competition (where Timo Werner also scored all six of his spot kicks).
With what he thought the winner was certain, Raphinha was the same as the record of Cristiano Ronaldo 2013-14 of 21 targets in one Champions League campaign (13 goals, eight assists).
Only Barcelona itself (45 in 1999-00) scored more goals this season in a Champions League season than Barcelona (43), but the side of Hansi Flick also admitted 24 goals, their most in one campaign, which ultimately proved their downfall.
Due to their second Champions League final, Inter is in three seasons. Since the arrival of Simone Inzaghi in 2021, they are one of only two teams, together with Real Madrid, to reach the showpiece more than once.
